An absolute hole of a city, poor jobs, no facilities just nothing to do really! The only place you can shop is west quay which is a right old pokey shopping centre, you can see it all in about 45 minutes. The only nice area is ocean village but its a small area of flats and chain resteraunts....i really dont know why people from southampton are so passionate about crap.

Southampton has got an awful state of roads which are patchy, broken and worn out and our white lines havn't seen a lick of paint since 1800 and frozen to death. The city council are worse then dogs for digging and all you ever hit is temporary traffic lights. I've lived here all my life but I'm fed up of all the idiot drivers on Friday nights I want out!

In all fairness, Southampton and Portsmouth were smashed during the Battle of Britain, that's why they are in the state they are today. But it's true that Southampton rebuilt a little better than Pompy did. Winchester emerged after the war with hardly a scratch on it compared to Soton and Portsmouth. Also have to say that the night life in Southampton is 2nd only to Birmingham probably; fun, bubbly atmosphere. Pompy is not the sort of place to hang around at night.
