Nick and Dave compliment each other as if ones the left wing and the other is the right wing with the rest of the band being the body of the bird. But don't forget the egg that is in which the young Floyd and late Barrett did have a hand in.
These guys were like Siamese twins when it came to producing the perfect harmonic sound.. yet somehow I still think that Dave Gilmour is Pink Floyd. He Had a good start from Syd's works and Roger's solilloquies..all full on works and legendary... but Dave.. Rocks the Blues!! (sorry Nick Mason...you excell!)
The cord sequence of the guitars shows some resemblance to the one of run like hell in my opinion, though very alienated due to the different bass notes underlying it. The mid part around 2:33 feat. some slight resemblances to some of the The Wall guitar works (such Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 1). But all in all, this is simply a very nice Jam Session and not some specific song, I'd say.
This Jam-session is absolutely fantastic....just look from 5:15 when Mr Gilmour is about to change his rhythm and how it triggers Mr Wright to change his too. To bad that this probably was one of the very last thing they did together...
This is 'Barn Jam 121' off the 'Live in Gdansk' DVD. It was recorded in 2007. 'Careful with that axe' is the name of a track Floyd created in the 60s. There's a version on 'Relics', and a much gutsier live version on Ummagumma.
Very good, I didn't know this track. It's been made maybe in 2006, during "On an island" Tour. It's not "Careful with that axe, Eugene", someone knows the title?
The coolest song and the BEST song title ever

This is not Careful with that axe Eugene, it's a jam session, search for "David Gilmour Barn Jam"

@snk07 Thanks. I knew it wasn't "Careful" but rather some random jam.

I think thats sounds a little bit like Us and Them. The drummer plays very soft, Guy Pratt plays the same notes in the whole jam...

That change to the more staccato rhythm is very reminiscent of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Part 8." They sure know how to play off each other.
