very nice mate! what sort of gear you using for the majority of these tracks then? had a quick look at your site too, nice to see your into the prodigy (another howlett in there too....) im a bit of a fan myself! haha. im a producer myself too you see, not often ive come across gaming and music in one package on youtube!
Oh it's a big fat stew of stuff. Soft synths, circuit bent *things*, samples, live instruments (drums, piano, guitars, vocals, percussion, etc)... I use a Pod for amp modelling and basic guitar effects, Sony Acid Pro 6 to put everything together, then a big fat slap of EQ and compression to get everything up to scratch :-)
I don't really use loops that much though. Only to add a bit of fat to the backgrounds at times.
circuit bent stuff is wicked! tell u what id love to be able to do, make a full soundtrack or something for a mega drive game, i love the gritty edge that thing has. alot of people say the snes was a much better soundchip (which on paper it was yes) but ive always maintained my opinion that it was too muddy, you couldnt get much top end out of it, and it has alot of mid range in there. whereas on the other hand, the mega drive chip was all bass and top end and not much middle it seemed!
You know what Matt, I'm a kid and a total noob in everything that involves music. And I live in Winnipeg. I don't really have a long distance form of paying you. And even if you have a way of giving it to me, and even if you do it for free, I wouldn't want to wast your time. Plus my show is NOT good. In any way. so nvm
Cheers - make sure you grab the mp3s (see the description text for a link) because the quality is a bit shit on the video and they're only short clips.

Hey, some really cool arrangments there, I remember that AVGN remix too!
Maybe it'd be cool to have a 10 second intro jingle on my videos -_^
BTW, thanks for the sub!

I hear some chiptunes in there - awesome.
I have a SIDstation that I have so far failed to use.
Think I mentioned before I have some old devices like a Juno-106 that I can't play. At all. I can't even get it to make hoover noises.

Well if you ever feel the urge to donate the afore mentioned kit to charity, I've just this minute formed the Mat Howlett Unwanted Synth Society ;-)
Mmmm SIDstation....
