I'm saying that in this situation they both were wrong. I agree that sometimes it is entirely the woman's fault but not all the time. Stupid, take-what-i-want-and-leave men do exist, but they have female counterparts as well.

But he was wrong, in that, he didn't leave her alone. He stuck around, used her and then left.. So he was wrong too, and because this is her poem, she called him on it. I have heard male spoken word artists recite poetry about backstabbing women and women who think beauty is an occupation. I don't complain, I accept that women like that exist. We agree that she was an idiot, but that changed. It's her right to write what she feels about men, The same thing goes for a male poet.

That or was not living up to her full potential. Either way the poet realized she fell in love with a man who didnt want love. He was perfectly honest but she saw what she wanted, so he played the part to get what he wanted. When he left her she was angry, and that's where the ranting comes from. Both of them were wrong.

I have to disagree. Sometimes people (whether you're a woman or man) need to hear a song, or a poem, or speech before they realize what they are doing wrong. Love truly can be blinding and this poem is about what she dealt with, what she came to realize and in the end what she took away from the experience. She learned her lesson.
