@friek418 Well, since you can't climb on most walls, and it's well known that sometimes he gets audio cues from family members (mostly for menu navigation when starting a new game), that could easily explain why he knows it's a fence. Also, the music gets softer and the sound of people disappears when in the back alley, and he's probably made the mistake enough times to just know. Also, all computers nowadays have screen reading software built in.

1: I am using a nitendo emulator on my computer with a Xbox 360 controler. the monitor is there so you can see what is happening

2: these videos, have been edited. I spend a lot of time still bumping around to figure out some places, but I hope I am leaving enough in, to show that I can progress through the game. and absolutely nobody is helping me while I'm taping these vids

3: I do have screan reading software, so I can read the comments left. I also, tape, edit, and upload these vids myself.

Heres a perfect example, 7:06, how do you know there are vines there you need to get? It's possible you literally ran across the field a million times, found the way to a wall, followed the wall, found vines, found jump, then water, then guy, but that would take a million (literally) tries. Or then how do you know to use the egg you got on the guy?

Could you have literally done this from very beginning never having hooked Zelda up to a TV? Did you have someone at least explain things to you?

How do you know where things are supposed to be or where you are supposed to go? It seems like you must have had someone with vision telling you things at least at some point, at the very beginning. Here are some examples:

1:12, "Turn left" how do you know it's that direction for the exit?

2:11, How did you know there was "open" for you to be out in?

3:33, How did you know that "you wanna find this fence"?

3:51, How did you know that when you get on a fence, if you hit "z" you square up?

And that's where a game design finds its limits : if the guards's footsteps were audible, the last part would have been far more easier, but you showed us a great demonstration of trial and error. Nice performance MegaT, as usual, the part where you just jump along the wall is rather impressive, I didn't know it was even possible :')

If Nintendo had their hands on somebody like you when they launched Zelda that would have been big :) I wish you the best, you're definitively a big asset to the gaming world. The hide and seek in the gardens with the guards was hard, but funny in some ways :D and you beat them at the end. He's so good at it, he's obviously memorized it, just the same as I have. Only he knows it off by heart by sound alone, which to me is amazing. Amazing that A) Nintendo included enough sound cues in OoT, that one need not be sighted, and B) that he's got the patience to use trial and error. I was just wondering how he memorized it in the first place.

Can you visualize the whole experience as your playing it? do you have like a layout in your head as you map it out through footsteps and sword attacks to indicate where walls are? also with the various puzzles in the game, how do you initially figure out what to do? do you read a walkthrough to give you a hint or is it just an insane amount of trial and error? Nintendo really needs to see this. They could make some sort of system to make it easier for the blind with playing games. It would really give other blind ones opportunity to experience video games.
