  • jordan all the way

  • finally...a basketball video that doesn't come with a comment that includes "lebron" and "travel"

  • @Ldale11 people think jorden's the best because he was the first on that came out yes he has more rings because he played more than him but kobe is cathing up so i dont agree micheal boobie is the best u tard

  • @bunza800 People think MJ is best because he was the only player to ever win a championship WHILE winning scoring titles and Finals MVPs EVER SINGLE YEAR he won a championship. No player can say that. ESPECIALLY Kobe.

  • All you kiddies sucking the Kobe schlong really need to get hold of full seasons of Jordan from '84-85 to 92-93 to see how he played then. Most all of you seem to only know Jordan from 95-98, and his return tenure with the Wizards. You really don't know what you missed. Youtube or ESPN highlights don't do him justice.

  • A huge point that gets missed or isn't even recognized by the Kobe clan is that they're too young in general to know about the changes the league made on defense in the last decade. Zone wasn't allowed during the 80's & 90's of Jordan's prime. Defenses were allowed to be much more physical, esp. in the 80's than now. In 2001, illegal defense was taken out, later hand checking was taken out. Those are huge difference & advantages that Jordan didn't have when he was getting banged up by defenders.

  • they've played the same amount of seasons now. lets make the comparison! kobe has had more t.o in less playing time, less points, a bit more assists, less rebounds, and less championships even though he started out winning 3 championships.

  • this argumentswill stop until when kobe retires...

  • In the same age (30-32), Jordan had chased Champion and MVP 6 times but Kobe waiting for retire.

  • There will never be another Babe Ruth, Not another Elvis Presley, Not another Muhammad Ali, Not anthother Michael Jackson, And there will never be another Michael Jordan.

  • I like how it's the same 5 shots for Jordan. People that say the Kobe camp were too young are too old to have noticed how much better the game is now. Watching the boring games from the 90s were Jordan was isolated against scrubs like Bryon Russel and somehow that makes him the best player ever? Kobe has Shane battier guarding him while being chased by a double team and still puts it home. Jordan in today's game is a joke. And a bigger joke is all the old people claiming the 90s were better

  • @fantasyexctasy Are you stupid? Writing all that nonsense for absolutely nothing? Its a known fact that players today have lost all sense of loyalty. There is a -me first- atmosphere in the NBA where a player simply slow down production in order to receive a bigger contract. Not to mention that the NBA today is littered with accusations of refs tampering with games in favor of more popular teams. MJ played during the age of Centers,..and more HOF players than any player to date. Faggot.

  • @NBAGOATS Name 5 good centers: Olajuwon, Hakeem, Ewing, Robinson, Mutombo. Big deal, he faced off against crappy SGs who couldnt double team him like in today's game. To not understand that concept you have to be retarded

  • @fantasyexctasy Stupid idiot. SO when Kobe came into the league he faired well against MJ's competition? He actually shot WORSE during regular season and playoffs during MJs era than now. And he shoots MISERABLE percentages now! The only reason why Kobe's name is mentioned is because of streaks and rings. He fell into an awesome situation with arguably the most dominant center to ever play the game. Kobe shot worse against MJ's competion. Not better faggot. Get it right.

  • @NBAGOATS You are probably too young to remember MJ's 6 for 18 games and 9 for 30 games where he couldnt make a shot being guarded by a single player. You obviously don't watch the Lakers on a regular basis, the guy does stuff that Jordan in his prime wouldn't be able to do, he is constantly triple teamed and if his teammates were better he'd have a higher assist total. Kobe is a better 3point shooter, a better shooter outside the key (look up his percentage outside 15 feet, higher than MJ)

  • @fantasyexctasy Theres better 3 point shooters than Kobe. EVERY PLAYER has an offnight. And no. Kobe does NOT face double and triple teams on a nightly basis. MJ faced more triple and double teams....are you stupid? Kobe has some of the worse shooting performances in regular and playoff history. Jordan is stronger, bigger, faster, jumps higher than Kobe could ever dream. And yet Kobe is superior? If Kobe is superior then so is Lebron. because he is superior to Kobe.

  • @fantasyexctasy Little education for you son. During MJ's time Kobe averaged 15.9 ppg on 43.3 % shooting versus hornaceck..vs Hawkins he a avg. 17.4 ppg on 46.7% shooting and vs Dumars, 8ppg on 37.5% shooting..vs miller in the finals 15ppg on 36% shooting....He shot below 46% vs 90's defense. Lebron shot better than Kobe in this era of ball than Kobe did during MJ's era.

  • @NBAGOATS Dude those were in his first few years in the NBA when he barely played. You have got to be kidding me if you think Lebron is a better shooter than Kobe, Lebron's percentage is higher because he drives to the hole looking to get fouled or get layups, Kobe easily can outshoot that scrub and is loyal to Los Angeles

  • @fantasyexctasy Lebron put up better numbers than Kobe in this era than Kobe did in a SUPPOSEDLY inferior era. And he's still putting up better numbers than a veteran Kobe. Now go ahead and say it. Stats don't matter! .... You kobe dick riding fans are boring.

  • @NBAGOATS kobe averaged 35.4 ppg in the 05-06 season ask lebron to do that.

  • @Guitarherotimmydude Lebron average 50% shooting on the season. Ask Kobe to do that.

  • @NBAGOATS Kobe scored more points your talking about numbers.

  • @fantasyexctasy loyal HAHA you fail to mention he demanded a trade unless they get him a team. the cavs wouldn't give lebron a team.

  • @fantasyexctasy "Loyal to Los Angeles"? Have you already forgotten he DEMANDED a trade from his beloved L.A. if they didn't get rid of the man whose shirttails he was riding: Shaquille O'Neal. And "barely played"? By his 2nd year he avgd. 26 min. a game, then 38 the next. That's a lot more than "barely" playing.

  • @fantasyexctasy Could you please give me the dates and competition for the games where Jordan went 6-18 and 9-30? If it even happened, I'm sure it was cuz he was getting fouled a helluva lot and shots droves of free throws. And if Kobe is "constantly triple teamed" and yet still leads his team in shot attempts by a wide margin, that means he's taking tons of really bad shouts. That's stupid, selfish and NOT team play. All those are qualities Jordan did NOT possess.

  • @fantasyexctasy Per Kobe being a better 3 pt. shooter, you better look at those stats again. They are both basically 33%, with less than a full % difference. But in the finals, MJ shot 36.8 to 31.3 for Kobe. In other words, on the biggest stage, MJ wins out again. So what "stuff" does Kobe do that Jordan in his prime "wouldn't be able to"? Are you another 18 yr old who only watches Jordan on Youtube & ESPN? I believe you NEVER saw Jordan constantly attack the hoop in the 80's like Kobe never did

  • @NBAGOATS Exactly! And if Kobe was/is truly the man, then why did he get CRUSHED by the Pistons in '04, then losing game 6 to the Celtics by like 39 pt.s? The answer: he finally faced real teams worthy of being in the finals. And don't talk about old ass Malone being the reason they lost in 04. It showed how overrated the Lakers were all along. They beat weak teams w/ at best 1 HOF-caliber player for their 3 rings. Then it took playing an old Celts team w/out Perkins to win game 7 in 2010. Sad,

  • @fantasyexctasy "Good" centers? You must be the retarded one. Those guys are HOFers. You must be from the current generation that has next to zero idea of how a dominant defensive center alters the game, cuz you have only one, at best, & he's not that good. I'll take guards like Dumars, D. Johnston, Moncrief, Cheeks, & Payton over the likes of the creampuffs you have today. Guys can't even hand check now, and they play zone. If you think MJ wasn't double, even triple teamed, he must be under 20.

  • @fantasyexctasy Bryon Russell was no scrub. That shows how little you know. Kobe also has J.J. Redick guarding him. Does Battier play for EVERY team in the league, dumbass? And why does Kobe shoot 27% on game winning shots? That's shit! The game is sissified now. A hard foul in the 80's or 90's is a "flagrant" now and the player gets suspended. Need I say more? Candy ass is what the game is now.

  • KKKKKKKKKKOOOOOOOOOOOBBBBBBBEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! way better

  • @bunza800 Moron little teenager who NEVER saw Jordan in the 80's and only sees highlights from the 90's. Don't lie. Kobe NEVER attacked the basket and finished like Jordan did. Oh and he won 6 titles in 8 years. utter domination. Two 3 peats. Never lost a final, and certainly never got utterly dominated in one like Kobe in 04. Your boy got cooled down by Tayshaun Prince. Haaaa!!! Haaa!!

  • Koooooobeeeeeeeee!!!!

  • @kasele09 See my previous comment, junior.

  • ruba makes a good point. Kobe is the challenger. There will never be another MJ. Jordan knew how to lead a good team to the Finals. I'd take MJ & Pippen over Kobe & Shaq any day.

Jordan has the franchise record for most assists, so you cannot say he is a ball hog.

He has 39 50-point games (8 in the playoffs), 30 triple-doubles (2 in the playoffs)(3 were almost quadruple doubles), and 15 near 5 by 5s

Jordan had to carry his team for 6 seasons until Pippen came.

  • C'mon. to surpass any great you MUST do something better than them in the stat department. Kobe fail around the clock.

  • @NBAGOATS Stats are only relevant to players in their era. To compare Kobe post zone defense to Jordan pre-zone defense is like comparing tap water to coca cola. Jordan in today's game would easily be tamed. All you'd have to do is send a double team and he'd pass it. People that use stats should go stick to fantasy baseball, apparently you are clueless to actually watching the game

  • @fantasyexctasy Is that why @ age 40 MJ averaged these numbers...>?? Yeah those double teams were killin him.

    MJ age 40 = 20PPG, 3.8APG, 6.1RPG, 1.5STL, 44FG%, 29%3p%

    See Kobe's....

    Kobe age 32 = 25PPG, 4.9APG, 5.3RPG, 1.2STL,46FG%, 323P%

  • @fantasyexctasy No, it's clueless homers like you who deny stats. You're the same kind who deny scientifically proven facts if it rubs you the wrong way. So does kobe always pass when he gets double-teamed? Hell no! He's the biggest shootaholic I've ever seen. So why would Jordan just pass? You're argument holds ZERO water cuz Jordan was double teamed game after game after game, yet still dominated. And he did vs. much more physical defense You can't even hand check now. It's a candyass league.

  • Jordan Is Incomparable

  • @Swerlun Well he is comparable to overrated.

  • They both are good but in different eras, u guys are all stupid, they have a different game. Plus, Kobe has more of a challenge with all the great players in the NBA right now such as LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Blake Griffin, John Wall, Derrek Rose, Carmelo Anthony, Manu Ginobli, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Steve Nash and Way more. Michael Jordan Barely had any competition and just ball hogged most of the time. I'm not saying he sucks, I'm saying he has a different game than Kobe and all the Other

  • @SamuelAba

Once again, another idiot like you that "itsokayright" described with his comment, you must be an idiot to think MJ had no competition from great players in his era

  • @SamuelAba Don't talk about a "different era" so much. Hell, both played multiple seasons in the 90's. It's not like comparing the 50's to now. Damn.

  • @SamuelAba WTF!??! I'm so damned sick of you 20-something kids who have ZERO IDEA of the NBA before 2000! Jordan has "barely any competition"?! Can you say that shit w/ a straight face? Then you throw up (as I just did) the likes of Rose, Wall, & Griffin? Maybe one of those guys is likely to make the HOF. Wtf does Nash or Melo have to do w/ Kobe? They don't even play him 1-1. Jordan played vs. FAR more HOF players than Kobe has. Moses, Dr. J., Isaiah, Bird, Moncrief, Dumars, Payton, Olajuwon

  • Answer: Yes.

  • this is a very, very, very.... stupid question!!! kobe will never get to the level of jordan, in motivation, in determination, in sacrifice, in generosity... Jordan loved basketball, Jordan lived for play basketball!! Kobe is a jelous, (O´Neal case), Kobe love glory and fame!! this is the difference.

  • Jordan is the greatest. Period.

  • also.

Kobe-25.3 ppg 25.5 ppg in platoffs

MJ 30.1 ppg 33.4 ppg in playoffs

    MJ stepped up

  • I love Kobe, but Jordan is the best ever period. the most consecutive scoring titles during an era when hand checking and holding were allowed. teams played much better defense then.

The Bulls of the 90's would destroy the current Lakers.

  • if kobe was aty mj time he would be the best

  • @trezeguet4ever U ever heard of the Dream Team. Thats who Jordan played with. They were killing those teams the Redeem Team was struggling with. They even 1 a game by 79pts 136 to 57. Jordan destroyed every member of the Dream Team's team 3yrs in a row on. Then came back & 1 3in a row again. Then played in when 40yrs old in Kobes era & avg more stls rebs & asst than Kobe not 2 mention he scored 40pts 3 differnet times the season he turned 40yrs old. Im mail u some Jordan gms pronto. Watchem

  • wilt vs russell magic vs bird kobe vs james jordan vs? Who did jordan beat?No one on that level. No perimeter player from the 90's is even top 20-25.NONE!!Kobe has ran thru guys who were supposed to be better than him like kg duncan iverson mcgrady and now wade james durant and melo.better than barkley payton drexler malone im talking top 10-15 players.Mj during the 80's was a very poor 3pt shooter and still avg 37ppg very limited attack relying on physical gifts noy skill.

  • @evergreen5454 Jordan beat Magic's Lakers in 1991. Kobe has never faced Lebron or Wade in the playoffs. And who the hell ever said KG, Iverson, or McGrady, Wade were better than Kobe???? A few morons and who else?

  • @ClipCoug Kobe couldn't guard Iverson, when he was in his prime, And Wade could shut Kobe down with defense. Proof, Iverson vs Lakers '01 Finals, they put Tyrone Lue in for DEFENSIVE PURPOSES, and Kobe gets lucky with D-Wade on him, You remember what Kobe say after his banked shot over wade? "The Luckiest Shot He's Ever Made"

  • @Freshustle Disagree on Wade being able to shut Kobe down. Kobe's owned him many times. No doubt that was the luckiest shot Kobe's made.

  • @evergreen5454 Come on now Kobe 3pt% 34% Jordan's 32.7% & thats what he did the poorest. I thought the Lakers were gonna kill the Bulls. I quickly shut up after Jordan pretty much destroyed them by himself. 63pts in the playoffs against the best in the league. Jordan took terrible low % shots & played til he was 40 & still shot 50% than Kob. Jordan avg more asst, pts, stls, rbnds, &blcks. Kobe avg more turnovers & personal fouls. Kobes best season stls 2.2, Jordans career avg stls 2.35. No comp

  • I think that Kobe is more naturally talented or smart or gifted, Michael was more physical gifted, and dominant (better numbers, percentage, and he didn't need Shaquille O'neal or Pau Gasol to win a ring), that's just my opinion. Kobe is a more prolific scorer (he can score 62 in 3 qrts) and a sick three pointer. II always was more of Kobe (as a Laker fan when Michale was in his prime), i miss better percentages from Kobe, Michael was more efficient.

  • @WiltatKansas A more prolific scorer? He's only led the league in ppg. twice. Jordan did it like 10 times! He also shot over 50% 6 times, and shot 49% overall in the reg. season. He also all playoffs teams in scoring 10 times, including avg. 43.7 in '86. Kobe can't touch that. His shooting is noticeably inferior to Jordan's.

  • all you kobe haters just get mad and make up shit cause your afraid that kobe will surpass jordan, which he is going to do by the time his career is over with. and you cant say jordan made his team better all by himself cause he had scottie, rodman, steve kerr, and other guys that were good. the media just focused on jordan. ya he was a great player and one if the best but i think most of it was hype.

  • @MrJoshP24

You are an idiot. Obviously, you haven't seen Jordan play, or his games.

Steve Kerr? Rodman? You do realize what Jordan went through in the 1980s before getting those players? When Jordan first arrived, his team was not so great. He scored 28 points per game in his first season, and over 50% field goals most of his young career.

You do realize what Jordan went through in the 80s before having "Steve Kerr, and Rodman?" Go fuck yourself.

  • @MrJoshP24

To be honest, I think it is idiots like YOU that know nothing more about Jordan than what is seen by the media. Watching Jordan's actual GAMES were spectacular, even when the person in your home cheered for the opposing team, even they couldn't deny what they saw.

Even watching Jordan completely dominate Shaq was a see-it-for-yourself thing even the MEDIA couldn't distort. Media cannot change actual PERFORMANCE.

The problem is, YOU know nothing more than Jordan, than TV. Fuckyou

  • Comment removed

  • @MrJoshP24

Its not that we are Kobe haters. The reason we get angry, is because idiots who were too young to watch the likes of Michael Jordan (people like you) say alot of stupid shit without knowing/caring what you are speaking about.

Steve Kerr? Rodman? That's Jordan WAY PAST his fucking prime. You wouldn't know that, would you? Moron.

Look at game-by-game stats from Jordan from 1984-1993. You fucking TELL ME that is "media hype." But wait, you NEVER FUCKING SAW THE GAMES.

  • @itsokayright i'm too young ask well but i understand the ignorence of my generations and i don't like at all Kobe's great and all but jodan's the goat no doubt.

  • @itsokayright While I agree w/ you in general, I have to say that Jordan's prime last much longer than most players. He was still leading the league w/ 33 a game when he was 33 years old, playing with the likes of Kerr & Rodman.

  • @MrJoshP24 I'm not making up shit. I can back up EVERYTHING I state. And Jordan 3-peated w/out Rodman or Kerr. Kobe had Shaq carrying him to 3 rings. Shaq won finals mvp all 3 times, not your boy. He also had Big Shot Robert Horry, Ron Harper and other "guys that were good". MrJosh, your mama probably still makes your bed.

  • Kobe 81 points, 62 in 3 Quaters, 5 rings, 4th straight 50 point game. Doing this vs the greatest Era in NBA history...

  • It's not MJ vs. Kobe.

It's low quality video vs. HD video.

Kobe has his team advantage and in this era, players love to be traded for more money and rings. In MJ's era, it's about loyalty.

  • Lemme jus say Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan arent and will never be humble idc what u fools say i kno them on a personal lvl. Also to be the greatest u have to go into the perfect situation. A bad team that needs a stud who can lead them. Lebron and MJ both went to this kobe didnt. Lebron of course is trying to leave but thats another story for a different time. Point is Kobe went into a situation where he was da second man switch MJ and Kobe's team and the year they came in who knows.....

  • KOBE,your nothing but a second rate,trying hard copycat......

JORDAN is the greatest player who ever live not you....

    you cannot beat his AIRNESS.....

you cannot beat his hangtime move.......

JORDAN is the best........and he is humble not like you.....

  • @Pherlou JORDAN humble?????? Have u met this man in real life!!!Obviously not and u should be able to tell by the very beginning of the video he's not humble. U cant be the greatest if ur humble kid.

  • How many times do we need to see Kobe under perform with his teammates bailing him out in the Finals to end this debate?? MJ is the greatest player I've ever witnessed, and I was watching the 90s MJ. To those who have witnessed MJ live in the 80s, LUCKY!

  • man kobe stole all of jordan moves, kobe also said he never really watched jordan! What a Chump!..Jordan, MJ, 2Pac, Tyson, Ali

  • @Petrafied2007 Dude MJ is better i cant even compare him becuase he has won 2 defencive player of the year.

  • maybe close...put kobe in Jordan's era and jordan on kobe's.....and imagine what will happen....LOL......as far as I know...Jordan scores 40 or something at age of 40 at Kobe's era LOL imagine if he's 15-20 years younger at that time LMAO he have bn doing coast to coast dunks 20 times a game LMAO

  • I'm just happy to have been alive to have seen both of these great players.

  • We have to waint unitill kobe carrer ends...

  • Jordan better than Kobe, is not the question. Is Kobe better than Jordan is the question. The way it's worded gives consideration to the fact that Michael is the challenger. That's not the case.

  • this argument could go on for yearsssssssss

    they are both GREAT players..

just give em respect and enjoy the shows they put on for us.

    go mj

    go kobe

    go lakers

  • @wlshl3one respect to these players will be given without a doubt because of how much desire they want to win, but as for the argument? it shouldn't prolong for years, why? watch kobe vs jordan comparison 2010 and you will see why no one will ever be another player as good as MJ or better

  • u'll got to see it
