Though, we have one question : is motion blur allowed? We read the rules, but we were just wondering if it was included in slow motion. If not, it's fine, we like the idea of no effect ;)

Motion bllur is an effect, so it's not allowed. We excluded all effects that are put onto the clip in the program, except for black and white colouring :) That's why fades and slow-mo are allowed :P Hope you'll still find the time to enter ;) Good luck!

Umm I just have one question... can you pan/crop the clips... like do close ups... I know you can use slow zoom but I'm not sure if you classify pan/crop as an effect or not.lol :) Thanks.

Well, we said minor zoom, that means if the zoom is in motion and zooming that parts of the picture are in or out, so we'd prefer that you didn't zoom things into close ups (because you could zoom important parts like people out of the picture which makes it easier to make an AU video for example, we want this to be a challenge you know ;) )

I understand we cant use coloring...but the coloring i want to use is B/W, but just darkened with more black in certain spots from gradient map...but it's still b/w, is that ok?

original color and black and white are the only two coloring options. no other alterations to the color are allowed include contrasting. i hope that answers your ? =]

Yes, slow motion is allowed, change of colours is not allowed. Texts can be added if you don't use any of those effects you can use on clips and only use two different fonts.
