Both are talented musicians in many ways. Apart from their musical talent, Gerard Way is a good comic book writer (His comic Book Umbrella Academy won an Eisner Award) and Marilyn Manson is a gifted painter who opened many art galleries along with collaborating with David Lynch.

Marilyn Manson purely because he revolutionised music, the first to show people that he didn't care what people thought of him he was his own person and enjoyed himself, made all of his own decisions rather than be controlled by a record label and is a lot more creative/imaginative

WTF? i love them both, but come on?! Gerard way, had better morals/ respect / drug using habits ect... but manson changed the face of music! he's one of the only people in modern society who doesn't do what is 'expected' of him! without him half these 'metal-head' bands wouldn't exist! plus manson's music differs sooooo much from gerard, you cant compare what they do / say in their concerts!

Both are talented musicians in many ways. Apart from their musical talent, Gerard Way is a good comic book writer (His comic Book Umbrella Academy won an Eisner Award) and Marilyn Manson is a gifted painter who opened many art galleries along with collaborating with David Lynch.

Gerard Way shows respect for his fans and for women. He stands up for people rejected from society. He saves lives. This video doesn't do justice for him, you have to watch the documentary Life on The Murder Scene, you have to watch interviews, music videos, and random clips found of him in order to know he is amazing. So that being said and done. Gerard Way is better on so many levels

At least Gerard actually shows some respect! I cant stand Marilyn Manson. Hes sick and twisted! Gerard does what he does to save lives. He has stopped some concerts in the middle f songs to point out if somebody has collapsed, he tells us all that 'nothing is worth hurting yourself over' and that violence is never the answer. He has saved my life and I find it disgusting that he is even being compared to Marilyn Manson. Btw, these pics don't do him any justice.
