  • Damn. I wonder how long the hood is.

  • This is a 145 inch hood, Peterbilt has built several over the last 30 years, there is usally only a few in each batch, the last batch was in 1997 they had one at the Vegas truck show powered by a Cat V12, that truck is currently for sale if you have $199,000 USD

  • it's lovely but does it make more money

  • @sewallm60 yes, yes it does.

  • You can see the long nose here on this youtube video.

CL Werner Trucking Museum in Omaha, NE

  • Werner One at the Werner Museum in Omaha, NE has a hood that covers a V-12

  • Petercullenbilt. :P

  • @cheerthinker T.A Peterman is likely to climb out of his grave and beat you for saying that...

  • I know who use to own that truck

  • the perfect truck :D

  • I got a 300in wb 07 379 and you know what they say, truckers never die......... we just get a new peterbilt ;)

  • And also, the normal 379 extended hood was 127 inches. this hood is about a foot longer than the 379 extended hood.

  • Actually this truck was custom built, and was built by Peterbilt for the the 1994 truckfest. there was only 6 built. this is the last of the six that is known to be still out there. It is currently in Toronto.

  • I like Peterbilt but I love my W900

  • @nokiaicon why??????????????????

  • @ElHassanRacing and you are?

  • so wat this video surpose to be just auto flip hood it that all

and all this just show your views goes way up 249,880

  • " Sweet Pete" No BS nuff said

  • autobots roll out!

  • nice

  • What was the point in that??

  • looks like a transformer to me. in desguise.

  • your fuel is too cheap!

  • @helstontvx Joking or? Are you indicating that American trucks consume a lot of fuel? Sure at 80 mph they might use a bit more but if you putter around at 50 like in Europe they are very economical. Fuel too cheap? Fuel in the US is taxed, just not the obscene amounts like in Europe. Are you implying that it is good for people that governments take away the right to move about? Or raise the price on everything we buy by raising the price of diesel? I can not see anything good in that.

  • @ImForwardlook no mate...your fuel is just too cheap.

  • @helstontvx Yeah, we are so sorry about offending you with our cheap(er) fuel...

  • yup, i gotta admit, that was pretty fuckin gay

  • Run over those Priuses man! VROOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!! AMERICANA!

  • im a western star man but thats still pretty sexy

  • what is this bull shit?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?

  • @gmb01mk

Because thats how a REAL MAN drives, no aerodynamic garbage.

  • i love a good LONG nose truck

  • sorry there is no such thing as a 379super xl..359,had 2 hoods,short and long,119" and 127"same as the 379 119'and 127''the 389 hood is no longer..

  • isnt optimus prime a super xl 379?

  • @bartybum nope, he is a 379 exhd (extended hood), there is no such thing as an "XL" and also I should add that a 379X was a limited run of rougly 1500-2500 EXHD's made between late '03('04 model year) and late '05 ('06 odel year). they all had polished fenders, 7 in straight pipes, 70 in bunks, and many other special features. I own both a '99 exhd and an '05 X, both sweet rides

    Hope that helps!

    Happy truckin' !

  • nice

  • fuckin sweet i love it

  • TIGHT!

  • saaaweeeeeeeeeet me like the long hood

  • ill try to get a vid.the last i heard he was gonna retire the truck and us it as a show truck.he was gonna chrome everything under the hood.the measure is from the grill to the firewall.

  • it is too hard for fix the motor while a hood on the bumper,,,

better to see and easily fix the motor while the hood on the front windshield window

  • imagine one of those comin straight at u

  • I know someone who shoved a 3412 Cat in an extended hood peterbilt. The engine weighed so damn much the guy had to put bigger steer tires on.

  • Well the normal 379 EXHD is 127 inch bumper to back of cab, (excluding sleeper), the new 389 is 131 inch BTBC so what exactly is this one? Don't take me wrong, it is very nice Pete, i just never heard of anythink such as extra long extended hood. It is an aluminium hood and if someone can extend it and then extend the frame between the firewall and the bumper to keep everythink in correct place then i would like to hear about it.

  • PETER BILT A TRUCK FOR A MAN TO DRIVE

  • Comment removed

  • SWEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTT

  • probably takes 2 football fields to turn the around lol. Pete's don't turn worth a sh*t even with a set-back front axle. I can't imagine how bad this one is!

  • Badass!

  • how in da hell do youy keep the trucks keep like that? you all must dont go to the places i went while driving trucks...also, i take it that we dont go to the same docks...some docks, those large cars wont have a chance docking

  • yeh really bad to the bone

  • i drove an old autocar in QLD and i thought that had a long bonnet.

  • Peterbilt........no U. C'mon fellars. Respect the Class by spelling it right.

  • @Deerebines dude check yourself before checking others. There's no U in PETERBILT.

  • @trkrguy389 You having an issue with reading too? What part of that spelling above do I need to check again?

  • @Deerebines ur a retard, they put the u in on purpose

  • @379peterbilt530 ....Sure they did fucktard. Go get your crayons and let mom have her computer back.

  • @Deerebines nice come back that doesnt even make sence

  • @379peterbilt530 .... Your the only one that can be blamed for your incompetence. By the way slick.... It's spelled "sense".

  • @Deerebines damn i made a spelling mistake its the end of the world, nerd

  • @379peterbilt530 LOL. Nerd? Uh huh. Sure. I guess you are entitled an opinion even if you are wrong. Your batting 100 so far in stupidity. Don't stop genius. What other sort of foolish drivel can you peck out across your keyboard? Have you put in your nomination for the Darwin Awards yet? LOL.

  • @Deerebines damn rights. Its like putting a g in Cummins.

  • @Deerebines They did it just shouldnt have a space in it.

  • That could double as extra landing space for an aircraft carrier.

  • That's really nifty!

  • wow,,thats awesume,,,i needed that,,the first time i opened the hood on our 79 KW,,and let it back up i was dangling in the air holding on..i'm 5'2'...stick hauler...lilbit

  • were do you get the setup for the hood.

  • BADASS.....

  • Those hood raiser's are sure nice.

  • With such a long hood, you must have something tasty under that hood, what yer got under that hood?

  • How long is the hood?

Air or electric lift on the hood? Would be handy on my W900L. I weight 260, and can still barely get the hood open. Heavy, and pulls hard.

  • i think those are like 140" not real sure cuz we run Freightliner :D

  • First of all an Extended hood Pete is 127" and that is actually BBC (bumper to back of cab) so a lot of people think the hood itself is 127" but it is not. I have no clue what this guy has and if it is even from the factory. His post suggests it is factory???

  • i dont really care, petes are to expensive for my tastes

  • peterbilts r quility not quantity

    peterbilt "class pays"

  • I'm almost 99.9 % sure it's not factory or I would have had one. lol

  • ooooh that shit is badass

  • thats sick
