@cowboyfan1113 I think, maybe, that the country music hall of fame is the definition of country music and if you've been inducted into it, then you are a part of the definition. It's the highest honor. It's not like the Grand Ole Opry, which is a joke anymore. Only the best and most influential country musicians get in. (cont)

@evansco2 I also disagree with you that George ISNT a part of the definition. He has been around since the early 80's. He may not be the only face of real country music, but he certainly as big a part of it as the rest that you mention. He is NOT the definition of today's country. That is reserved for the likes of Taylor, Carrie, Brad, Rascall Flatts, etc

Some Nashville producer may call them country but I call them simply singers. I will not put down Strait, I like him as much as almost anyone does. He is the "man" as far as country goes for the last 30 years. However if we are going to talk "Pure Country" than we talk Haggard and Jones. I think you and I more than likely have similar opinions.
