We have a Briquet Griffon Vendeen, and he doesn't sound anything like that, thank God!

I think you should try out a Briquet when Chester goes to the the great French hound place in the sky. I can see the briquet is a much more emotionally mature dog than the Grand Basset.

Mine GBGV is just the same in a car. These among the most loudest dog I know. Very distintive yet musical sounding. Them giving a chace is all so worth to hear.
