My cats used to get these worm things except the ones they would get were white. I never had the money to take them to the vet to have them removed so I would use a solution of 50% hydrogen peroxide and 50% water and pour it on the hole and the worm would pop its head out for air, I reckon, lol and I would grab it with a needle and pop it out. Ignore the dumbies with the rude comments. Their probably the type that would just let their animal suffer with it. Good job!

Next time do not poke but slowly pull out with tweezers without breaking the body so nothing stays left over. Once you poke parasites or ticks they also have a tendency to release toxins and any sort of things into the host.
