  • @lovetigrezz you need to google "millia", and talk with a dermatologist

  • Is it safe to use facial cleansing wipes to remove make-up and not cause Milia

  • @coolcatthecat Yes, you should be good...I like Almay Oil free wipes or MAC wipes

  • @coolcatthecat as long as they are oil free and are actually makeup removers. I like Almay oil free and Dermalogica Pre Cleanse

  • straight olive oil is a great option as far as makeup removers go. surprisingly (b/c of the word oil) the olive oil doesn't clog your pores at all and is REALLY good for the skin b/c of all the nutrients and antioxidants in it.

love this video. she really knows what she's talking about.

  • thnx for a great tip.......:)

  • I just use jojoba oil to remove my make up before I wash my face.

  • how much does the dermalogica precleanse usually run for?

  • I love love LOVE dermalogica precleanse. it feels so great, kinda oily texture which takes off makeup well, and smells fantastic!

  • Thanks for the helpful info E!

    xoxo

    Yummy

  • at night i use my face scrub (neutrogena grapefruit scrub) and then i use a toner (neutrogena anti-stress cleanser).. will the pre-cleanse and the toner dry out my skin? I'm thinking about buying this now since you're review

  • No...precleanse doesnt dry out your skin. The Nuetrogena scrub may irrititate and over exfoliate bcause the particles they use are actaully too large and harsh for your skin. If it feels like beach sand...its too harsh, and its creating microscopic tears in your pores, which can lead to bigger, more painful breakouts...enlarged pores...and sensitized, breakout prone skin.

  • LOL! A++++++++++ Great job!!!

  • LOL! Thanks!

    New York or Bust!

  • I use Liz Earle cleanse and polish and never ever used a wipe, it amazes me the amount of young kids that never use anything other than a wipe :0)

    xxxJoolsxxx

  • that was a really informative video!

  • Philisophy's Hope in a Tube eye and lip moisturizer contains Mineral Oil. It didn't cause me problems around my eye area, but I was surprised they would put such a low quality, cheap ingredient into their product.

I use mineral oil to condition chopping blocks in my kitchen, but do not want it on my skin!

  • yeah, that is surprising...I have heard such great things about Philosophy too..hmmm.

  • Thanks for this vid really helpful !

  • What about olive oil? I've been using that to remove eye makeup for years and love how it nourishes your lashes!

  • I like Olive oil...its just that it doesnt break down as purely as PRECLEANSE...when you add water, it breaks down completely and doesnt leave any oily residue on your face. Just make sure you cleanse very well! U still dont want any oil left ony our face....

  • Neato!! I will have to get some of that once I get some dough!

  • Thanks very helpful

  • i love precleanse it is the best by far....

  • love your look ..great tips

  • thank u so much for making this so HELPFUL 1!!!

  • Wonderfully explained! Great vid!

  • WHERE CAN I GET THE

    Dermalogica Precleanse??

  • ULTA - or online...its great!

  • Such an informative vid!^.^ I have been starting to do the prewash and what a difference it does make! Another great vid...and love the guitar hero background!

  • does the hit the spot work for blackheads too

  • Soooo glad you posted this! I'm in the middle of an "experiment"for my blog on washing your face with olive oil- some were like "what!?" no I have more proof I'm not crazy, lol ;)

Our little one has bad eczema, almost everything for it has mineral oil! I never knew why it wasn't getting better until we switched to olive oil for her, and bam- so much better!

btw- (eczemababy, lol) you can find some baby wipes that have things like aloe and vitamins added (in a pinch...) =-)

  • thanks! LOL! I do keep some for emergencies, wipes arent awful to use as long as they are alcohol and oil free...but I just dont think they work. Not on heavy makeup or "stage" makeup...which is what I mostly do. they are great for freshening up, but I wouldnt use a wipe and then go to bed...your face is def. not clean! LOL! Mineral oil is soooo bad! I hope the baby's eczema clears up! poor thing...

  • OMG I just started using the baby oil.....I use very, very, very little of it because I was scared to break out...you know the whole oil on oily face mentality....brb gotta go grab my mirror...hope I don't have those ugly thingies on my face because I'll start freaking out...

  • u r prob fine! LOL! Just stop using it and exfoliate tomorow...you can google images of milia and see what to look for.

  • this is a great video! =]

  • thanks! I feel like a stuttering goober! LOL!
