  • Any suggestions on not tearing the top wrist up. I have tg from a dead lift and trying the phoenix but its tearing my wrist apart!

  • wish my boyfriend could do that!!!!!

you are very well done! doing great job!!!!

  • You are soo goood!!

  • fooooooooooooooooooooooda

  • Thats when you know you got a new move down when you can pull it off three times back to back. That's how I test mine lol Great job Stellar. That looked awesome.

  • wow fabulous!!! love ur hang bk too - very flexy! any tips on phoenix ? ;) or prep work?? lol anythiiiiiiiiin i so want this move ---- now!!!!

  • @poletasticminx Hi, Minx. If you can already perform a stalled twisted grip lift, then the only challenge left for you is to find the right placement for your reverse grab spin. For performing Phoenix, you'll have to let your head and the shoulder of your free arm pass the pole before placing the lower bracket, and keep the fingers turned down instead of wrapped. If you cannot do the stalled lift yet, then train for it by doing twisted grip from inverts and controlling a slow descent.

  • do u .....nice

  • I am now your number 1 fan - after thinking i would never get this - watched you and got it on my 3rd attempt! HOOOOOOOOOORAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!

  • @tardissarah That is great news! Congratulations!

  • wooo hoo, just gathering inspiration over here :)

  • StellarMotion, I'm extremely jealous that you've nailed the Phoenix and I'm still working on it. It just seems like it would be as easy to learn as the handspring was but I have difficulty lifting myself up. You need to fly out here and teach a workshop!

  • @ginalovespoletricks thanks! What a nice remark! I'd love to travel to teach workshops, but I don't really have a high enough profile to be invited by pole studios to give instruction. Maybe someday my skills will improve and my profile along with it and then studios will want to have me come teach! I'm hoping so.

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • nice work looking awsome, i love tgh/s mines wicked but man my body doesnt agree with the pheonix lol

  • Looks so good. :) I can't get the twisted grip handspring even from the ground so I'm not even dreaming about this :D

  • @Ishtar1o1, may I suggest training for Twisted Grip from inverts instead of kicking into the handspring? You can get into the twisted grip Aysha from a Scorpio, a Cross Ankle Release, a brass monkey, and you can probably find other ways. As you extend yourself away from the pole, and do some slow, controlled descending, you'll train the muscles involved in doing the TG lift, and it's much, much safer than kicking into the handspring. (Oh, and phoenix is much easier than the regular TG lift!)

  • @stellarmotion I actually just learned the twisted Grips ayasha from inverting. :)

    Thanks for your tips!

  • wow impressive!! i just started to learn pole dance and that looks just so advanced. great stuff!

  • Yes you might not be learning this one for a long while, but I hope you will post videos of some of the things that you do learn! Thanks very much for commenting!

  • yeah i want to post but probably not publicly i'm afraid :S but i think i can make a password protected video or something. have to look into it! :)

  • brilliant!!! god i cant wait to get this one!! :)

  • Keep working on it! It will happen! As soon as I have some editing software I think I'm gonna make a TG tutorial...

  • Nice!!!

    [#L10] Pole Atheltics

  • Thank you!

  • Your welcome.

I'm a proponent that Pole Atheltics should be an Olympic Sport so of course their would be women's & men's Pole Athletics Sport.

Your my 1st male Pole Athletic's "playlister" because of your profile introduction: Global list- so your a global pioneer in my book.

I do have males in in my Olympic Class playlist.

    Peace,

  • Hey, that was wonderful! I'm going to Houston March 5th for a pole cert. I'd love to meet up with you while I'm there if I have time- MissJulie from Austin

  • Glad to have made your acquaintance on YouTube too! That would be fantastic, except I don't think I can make it to Houston during that time. I'm at work pretty much every Friday and Saturday here in El Paso!

  • thanks for the comment on my page. Im so jealous u hav the PHOENIX! I broke my right shoulder years ago so I hav 2 try twisted grip with left on top. Grrrr... U r awesome!

  • Marcy, you're welcome, and thanks for the compliments! Personally, I find this grip a little more strenuous on the shoulder of my lower bracket than on my top one. Maybe you can try both ways and see which agrees with you more. But kicking/leaping into the handspring can be very damaging especially with an injury already present, so please only lift into TG or enter TG from an invert for your safety. I've been enjoying doing TG from brass monkey, and from princess grip shoulder mount.

  • That is an elusive move, and you do it so well! I am always amazed at your form and physique. Even when you are learning a move you make it look so clean, like a Michelangelo painting.

  • Nilla, what an absolutely flattering comment. So glad you watched and enjoyed!

  • wow, thats very very cool. loved it xx

  • This is one of my favorite moves now, and I have to make sure I don't overuse it...!

  • awesome work!! <3 it!

  • Thanks a lot!

  • Very nice! I'm so jealous!

  • ahhh!! i love! congrats! i'm still trying to get that matrix spin. hopefully i'll be able to do this someday =b.

  • Maybe sooner than you think! Don't stop trying!

  • oh wow very well done....

  • hell to tha yea!!! awesome..congratulations :)

  • EFFING AWESOME!!

  • wow. and what amazes me the most about u sir, is how GRACEFUL you do it!! your so fluid!!!! grrr!!!!

  • I think you might be my biggest fan; you always say the nicest things. Thank you! I promise to say nice things about your video when you post it too...! (hint, hint)

  • <3 hahah i mean everything i say!! and i will post a vid soon, im just so new to pole (3 months) im afraid to be judged to critically lol!! im still too sensitive about my "technique" or should i say lack there of!

  • woho!!!! that looks like it shouldnt be possiblile. i faved stargrllls and have been working it for months. and in a wife beater and jean wink loved it thanks for sharing!

  • Don't worry, if you have the lift you'll have this soon too. Keep working on it! Haha and yeah, if I don't have to be naked for a move to work I usually practice in clothes. Easier to keep the body warm that way if nothing else!

  • Yay looks awsome i also found this easier than the lift i think it has some thing to do with momentom.Well done :D

  • I am one of your fans, so it's an honour to have a comment from you. Thank you for watching and for your vote of approval!

  • beautiful. This is one of the loveliest moves. You look strong and so in your body...just fantastic.thnx for posting! I celebrate !

  • awesome david!!!! xoxo

  • Aw, Mel! You rock, girl! Thanks!

  • this is soooo great.. someone doin a lefty !!! thanx for sharing..awesome

  • Hm... sorry to disappoint, but actually the camera on my MacBook just reverses the image. It's a righty... But thanks for watching anyhow!

  • absolutely brilliant i love this move * thats what i thought too * i looks hard but its not * plus guys are much stronger so pole stunts come easier tee hee * * yours is magic * 5 stars

  • Well, I think this move is actually hard, I just have found it easier than the regular stalled twisted grip lift. I'm glad you liked this! Thanks! You are so sweet.

  • Yeah!!!! brilliant I got this the other day but im gutted I didn't get it on vid.......well done you, your a STAR x x x

  • Don't worry! You will be able to do this again! And again after that, and again and again! Thanks for watching and for commenting!

  • Gorgeous, well done!

  • Aw! Thanks, Mandy! x

  • Nice work!! I love that rapid switch of the hips inbetween RG and Twistey, nice!

  • Thank you! I think the quick hip-turn might be what makes this move possible. You've got a good eye!

  • holy shit! Will u please slow down so the rest of us can catch up! God, you are too good! That's a dream move of mine but i'm not even close to getting it, it's that move Oona used when she won 1st place a Pole Art Finland... x

  • Just keep practicing your twisted grip and it can happen! This didn't just come out of nowhere, I've been practicing twisted grip for months, from inverts, from the floor, doing all sorts of things trying to build strength. Strenuous hangs, overextending Ayshas and trying to hold them, handsprings with kick off. I thought I'd never get the lift, and even after I got the lift I thought I'd never get the Phoenix. But I think this move is more technique and less strength.

  • Nice job! 5* from me! :O)

  • Thank you very much, Vix!

  • No probs, also, do you think being flexy helps with this move? Watching you straddle and then pick your hips up as you do they change seems to help...?? Just a thought?!

  • wow... you're my hero! why can't i do moves like that :P

  • Maybe you just haven't had enough time. I've been working on twisted grip for months. It may happen for you too! Thank you for the nice comment!

  • Awesome!

  • Thanks very much, Amber!
