Ever stop to think that God is omnicient, and therefore justified in all things He chooses to do? Especially considering he tells us over and over again that people choose their fates: live for God, and you will have eternal life WITH god. Live for yourself, and you'll spend eternity by yourself, just like you chose...

Who are you to say God wasn't justified in ending the physical lives of those people in the OT? Maybe those children went to heaven. What do you know?

I've had a hottie girlfreind, still (so far so good) for 12 years now! It's an amazing relationship. We're so balanced together, quite similar to each other on every scale, even intellectual. We never fight, bicker (maybe twice in a year), but in all 12 years we've never had a screaming match. We're just so happy together and we work. We're atheists too. Take care.

You should come to the UK. Most people here are atheists and many atheists have traditional marriages - church and priest and everything. Its not a big deal. Nobody cares here. Religion died a peacful death and most people accept the traditions of christianity without believing in god or caring what the bible says.

However you have to make the girl happy and she likes the church wedding with all the bells and whistles. I will definitely consider this. Its too bad the monarchy hasnt died a peaceful death. I have heard nobody likes paying taxes to support the Queens lavish expenses or am I wrong?

As far as I knew/know marriage has been around in some form long before the catholic churches edict(Council of Trent) that hijacked it to make money off of what people were already doing. By making it mandatory to that a marriage was only valid if it was consented to in front of a priests and two witnesses(whereby paying the church for this process). And that is probably why many people in the states assume/equate marriage to religion(Well at least christian religion.)

Living your life by exalting the old testament (or any ancient text that claims authority on invisible deities) - ick! Yeah, I'm surprised as well that atheists here don't make more vids about dating/marriage/general day-to-day-life-as-an-atheist. Maybe I'll try that! I feel like one of the reasons we as atheists don't often say we don't want to marry/have serious relationships with theists is because we consciously try to be open-minded where theists often are not. The whole religious double-standard thing =(.
