Does anyone know how many Townes Van Zandt songs Tindersticks recorded? They recorded Kathleen and this one... any others. Maybe only the ex-leaer done this one. I'm not too familiar with the group but they got good taste in songwriters.

You're right, they only covered Kathleen and 16 Summers. They've been playing it on the latest Tindersticks tour.

You can find that song on the Cd "Souvenir 06" generally sold at his concerts this fall. Others gigs in january Tenerife, Moscow, Istambul and Prague) Maybe it will for sale on line...It's really great ! Thanks or everything Stuart !

Oh.. was that the gig in Brooklyn? I was actually in NY that night, and would have gone, but a friend of mine was performing on the same night, part of that NY festival, and friendship loyalties came first... ah well!! Thanks for the link tho, will check it out!! :)

Hi - it could be that gig, the bootleg was recorded at Bimbo's. The quality of recording isn't too bad for that kind of stuff.

superb rendition of Townes Van Zandt's song, Staples looks like he wrote the song himself. The man is so much into it that you may think the story happened to him.

Excellent moment of music, when you realise it don't take much when you've got talent: two guitars and a maraca (I wonder if the likes of Robbie Williams will ever understand it)
