I use the processor in my BR-1600 for wah effects. It uses the GT6 engine. It's pretty good. I get some nice lows out of it.

For direct recording to a PC/MAC I would definitely go with the Line 6 POD XT Live, they have amazing sounds, and are great pieces of kit for direct recording into Cubase/Logic Pro etc etc...

Hey man, im thinking about buying a GT-8 how is the distortion on those things i here you can get some reall thick evil sounds out of it, can you put a vid up trying out some of them would really apreciate it, keep rocking.

I have one, and I think that you can really get an extremely wide variety. there's something like thirty types of distortion, and I usually only give some warm sounds with overdrive but there's a metal setting that really kicks it up a notch.
