If the Big 3 can't produce a product that people want, and can't compete with Japan/Europe etc... then close shop.

Cars aren't made there... they are assembled there. Parts made overseas and shipped back to the US. THAT is the problem with the economy. CEOs want bigger bonuses by shipping labour costs overseas which drives down living wages for US workers. Get ready to work for Wal-mart scrip.... work and buy only at Wal-mart.

The Canadians told GM that if they closed the Oshawa truck plant that Ontario would finance someone else to build cars people wanted.

Wisconsin autoworkers should ask to have their factory sold to Tesla for the new electric car. Now that would be job security.
