  • You're funny :))

    Great explanation, thank you!

  • this is from old turkic shamanism, now it's a tradition from turkey.

this eye has nothing to do with monotheisme religion.

  • What the fuck is this woman talking about? Nazar boncugu specifally comes from Turkey! Theyre even Turkish words!

Yes evil eyes are known in the middle east, but their evil eyes are not the same style as the Turkish ones. So correct your ignorance.

  • This is NOT Islamic. Only ALLAH can protect you from evil, not these kind of accesoires.

  • I love how you demonstrate what an evil look is :) nice video.

  • make more videos please

  • @emilf666 ...That's funny....the Greek culture has these eyes to repel evil. I think it has to do with Horus, I've seen it in other cultures as well.

  • Thank you for sharing. I do believe in this. there are so many cultures who believe in it aswell.

  • i am sorry but this makes no any damn sense, just a stupid glass with colors on it....psh, how do u expect it to protect you from evil eye or what ever you think it can protect you from this stuff is just some guy or whoever made it made his money by selling a crap that makes you ppl believe in nothing but lies and fake ass stuff

  • Merhaba. Your "evil eye" is really terrifying. I am glad that you hold the Nazar Boncuk in your hand. I am from Turkey and it is the best explanation of it I ever saw.

  • Fascinating the second time around

    ty for sharing your knowledge

  • Nice video as always :)

But I thought Evil eye balls are mostly used in the Chinese Fang Shui as I found many Fang Shui sellers selling Evil Bye Bracelets,Pendents and Key chains. So I just wonder again where it was originated. Thanks again :)

  • the evil eye as a concept seems to be found all over the world - all the most important symbols seem to be the primal ones. They are after all a method of wordless communication and as such address fundamental issues.

  • Thank you very much :) and I agree on all what you said. Also I seen evil eye concept but in totally different form like wearing black thread around the neck or arms or around stomach :) its funny and all so true at same time. Good luck again. - regards Anand.

  • ooooh now i get it, because in many cultures its bad luck to brag, as the evil eye will hear you and bring you bad luck, that's a methaphor for people getting jealous and giving you the "evil eye", casting bad energy on you.

    Wow nice video.

  • bingo. and you explained it far more clearly than I did!

    thanks Hypermobilemind :-)

  • These are great.

    More please.

  • i could use one lol

  • they are readily available...!

  • that's really sweet! thanks so much

  • ur bonkers haha lovin it lol get on tv luv

  • I need to revisit the evil eye...I had NO IDEA that so many people would watch, and I have no wish to offend. I spent some time in Cairo after this was posted, at the behest of an expert there, and will follow up with something less trivial.

    Thanks!

  • I loved all of your videos. When are you doing more?

  • thanks...i just posted up one about the swastika. Any ideas for what to do after that?

  • The swastika video is excellent! It is, in my opinion, THE most misunderstood symbol. It's very sad indeed. You'll pleased to know that I have just searched your book on Amazon and will be purchasing it (on pay day!) :)

  • i would like to see a video of yin-yang sybol, or what is the yin yang that is black red and white, (cirlce split 3 ways with spots) that would be good to hear about

    Tom

  • WTF

  • Adele I think you are hot!

  • Looks like All you need is Love symbolism! Hearts protect us !

  • 5☆'s

  • your voice is like so southing i almost fell a sleep half way throw the video my mom has the same talent

  • i talk to myself and i'm verging on comatose too. No heavy machinery for me.

  • hi :)

the evil eye does'nt mean the angry stare !

its something else well known in arabic countries,

something like jinx or a curse.

it makes people ill or sick or something bad happens to them.

and most people in the middle east believe it.

because it have been written in the holy quran

    (religious book of Muslims)

    any way ..

i enjoyed the video so mutch and i hope to see more soon :)

  • Youre right. The evil eye is more of an invocation caused when someone is envious/jealous of something you have. The evil eye follows you, cursing everything you do.

It acts as a punishment for flaunting your wealth or any good fortune that you may have attained.

  • thanks saudi666boy, and spectre11b, i might have been a bit too light hearted with this one! As you both point out, the actual concept of the evil eye is fascinating and quite complex; it is also incredibly ancient, with the nazar boncuk shown here even appearing amongst the jewellery and artefacts found in the pyramids. I shall certainly cover the evil eye itself in a future clip. Thnaks for your comments, and I apologise once more for my levity.

  • videos are great i fall asleep listening to your voice lol keep em coming.

  • Ok me too. Thats weird. If you want a real snoozer Bob Ross videos are awesome

  • You know how to cast spells. ^_^

  • I love listening to you talk; your voice is very pleasant to listen to. It doesn't hurt that I get to learn from your videos as well =D

  • thankyou very much, that's nice to hear :-)

  • There is a building that sits in Riyadh Saudi Arabia which bears the name, "The evil eye."

I am not sure what relevance this has on your video but it's still pretty cool.

I liked your video; you have a very soothing voice. Keep them coming. :)

  • that's really interesting, i'll check it out...thanks for your nice comment!

  • hi :)

    i'm from riyadh .

and i dont have any idea of what building you are talking about !!

but i do have an idea about that soothing voice XD

  • Well it's more of a nickname, than the actual name.

The actual name is the Al Faisaliyah tower. It has the ball in the top that watches you everywhere you go. I was there in 2000-2001, and the building was just finished.

It is possible that the nickname didnt stick.

  • Not at all It was a complement!

  • well that's very nice of you, T!

  • Nice evil eyes!

  • not too evil i should hope!

  • Crystal daggars..used in ritual sacrifice!

The best infromation on this sort of strange

subject comes from a man in africa called "creado mutwa" a zulu, merlin so to speak. This will take some watching with an open mind!!!!!

lots of referance to the church & people like

    "sir george gray" "cecil rose"

hope this helps with the curiousity because that never stops............

  • thanks boratsegev...that's all really interesting. You see, I had a dream about a glass dagger a few nights ago, and what you've said made me remember it. I know that daggers for sacrifice were also made of flint, or obsidian, which is also called natural glass. I'll investigate further and thanks for the info...

  • Elemental is your spirit so to speak....

    faeri is witchcraft....

The templars were exicuted for witchcraft & they also formed the first forms of travlers checks..banks.. & money chains.....

The vows of poverty! why in a world where the only thing that matters seems to be gold??? Because they new that there is more to life/death,just like the pope does today but they are not telling you....

  • VERY THOUGHT-PROVOKING...tELL ME ABOUT THE CRYSTAL DAGGER?

  • um can you do one on the dollar bill? All the meanings to the back and all the front symbolism?

  • good idea...will do that next.

    thanks! adele

  • Again like your other video, informative and quite entertaining. ^^

Just echoeing the other comments, I hope you continue to release more.

  • thanks so much! Is there anything in particular you'd like? There are so many...

    Really appreciate your nice comment.

    Adele

  • The evil eye,you have a time clock in your eye ball, witch registers dark/light.

This triggers the release of serotonin witch then mixes with melatonin from the pineal gland.

    Then you dream!

Reminds me of the pin hole camara made made in

    school?

  • wow, amazing concept like a surrealist painting...cameras do work like eyes ...love your profile pic!

Did you know pineal gland stimulated by sunlight reaching the glands in the armpits? Hence certain exercises in yoga, such as the suryanamaskar...

    Rhys

  • Yay Adele! I love your evil eye look - very spooky. Incidentally the evil eye can also be passed on by loved ones through looking at something or someone with too much love or admiration. This is why they stick old iron pans and pots on the side of gorgeous new buildings and also why we put spittle behind the ears of our toddlers - my sis has OCD so she particularly hates this tradition. As such my other evil sis and I take pains to make our fingers particularly wet before applying to her, bless!

  • thanks for the info...really appreciate it!

    an x

  • that is praise indeed! Thankyou very much

    anx

  • thanks for making a comment - indeed, the evil eye is a complex psychological subject. 'evil' is a catch all for all those things you mention. however, if you look again you'll agree that i don't actually attempt to translate 'nazar boncuk'.

  • well, billy, i suppose it depends on your personal preference :-) If it keeps on happening, I'd advise you pick up a Nazar asap :-)

    ax

  • glad to hear that you've been taking notice, Doctor. Thanks for the reminder. The book you so kindly mention is The Element Encyclopedia of Secret Signs and Symbols, published by Harper Element. Many thanks

    ax

Thanks Mark Moore, famous DJ and OBE. xxxx

  • no, the self harming looks MUCH worse! Is 'Talk To Me' going to come on the TV again? That was one of the most lovely things I have ever watched on tv...I assume this is you?!

  • taran! if you were a symbol you would be a big star. THANKYOU for leaving a comment. There will be more of this stuff - next, I think I am going to tell people how to become invisible! Handy for school :-)

    Lots of love

    a xxx

  • Funny you should mention that. So should YOU!

  • chong! you're up early!

  • i'll say it if you can spell it...

  • samuel! how are you. I owe you some pictures...when's a good time?

  • aha, my favourite finnish death metal band. How is the Timotei working out these days? Just for you, next week I'll explain the inverted cross, and later on I'll tell you all about the hand gesture favoured by you people, the Cornus. And other stuff....

  • is this that famous photographer person?????

  • thanks jim, for you, i can gurn anytime!
