ive heard this song 1000 times before i usually just skip covers because they usually butcher it but i actually listened happily through the entire thing and plan on listening to it again sometime she has a very beautiful relaxing voice :)

Imagine that she has sung this way at John Lennon's funeral (30+ years ago). The deep emotion in her voice would have been just too powerful. She has clearly studied the song and know what it means to those who knew John Lennon in their hearts. Well done Charlotte Church. Good show.

It's about the dream of a world where all the bullshit people fight over is forgotten, and people embrace humanity for humanity's sake. Where country, race, religion and wealth don't matter and people embrace each other as people, not an ideology. It may be an impossible dream, like the song says, but it's still a noble thought. And religion has nothing to do with it.

Reading some of these comments, I have to point out that Charlotte Church was a devout Catholic, she sang for the Pope, and in an early video, she mentioned that her family was very religious. This is just a song, no need to have a catfight!
