  • Actually the noise went away after a week or so and I never actually diagnosed what was wrong. I sold this car in early 2008, the kid blew 2 motors, car was sold once again, rebuilt, and was sold yet once more. I have not heard of any further driveshaft noise since this video was made.

  • actually, i was reading on a recall about these cars, the quattro models driveshaft oil evaporates overtime and can cause premature wear and probably a noise...

  • Hi I no this video is old and I'm also starting to here this sound in my car...it only happens when I'm actually driving (not in neutral and reving car) and it gets louder the faster I go...of you had yours fixed van you tell me exactly what the problem was?...thanks

  • i have 90 quattro. but with KV code engine only. Here the engine good for 136 BHP..

  • definatly your center support bearing. My car did the exact same thing. Have fun getting that freak driveshaft apart.
