No matter how stupid this sounds I have to say it :P

When I used to play stuff like Call of Duty world at war I just used to run in and kill people without a thought.

After watching Grave of the fireflies I was kinda like... what could this kinda crap be doing to the people not on the battlefield but at there homes (Blah I know thats just a game but It made me think :P)

And Grave of the fireflies was the first movie to make me cry :3

It's funny how you brought the war on terror into this. Seeing as we are the only thing in those regions now that keep it from dissolving into sectarian violence and multi-faction civil war. Coalation forces are like a buffer zone, trying to keep everyone from killing each other. So if anything, we are saving lives, not to mention the genocides committed by Hussein against the Kurds.

I'm not going to pretend Saddam Hussein was a good or moral leader. But.... he kept order there much better than we have been doing. By removing him, the US sparked a civil war, and made it much less safe. If you want to make the argument that we took him out because he was evil, then that sort of obligates us to take out dozens of other world leaders who are just as evil--yet we haven't. What the US did in Iraq was incredibly unjust and even illegal according to international agreements.

Thank you! I'm glad you like what I put together. Kurt Bestor (the composer of this song) and the people who created "The Grave of the Fireflies" each wrote an incredible message to our world. I really wish we Americans would think of this more often before going so quickly to war.

If I might ask, what was that movie about (Grave of the fireflies) If I were to pass an opinion I would assume it's about the terrors of war? Anyway, really wonderful job! I know what you mean, though it's not just Americans, humanity really needs to take a long hard look at itself on a whole. Right now everything seems like a really hot mess.

This movie was an anime set in Japan during WWII. I would imagine that 'the terrors of war' is a good way to describe the theme. I might say its also more about the far-reaching long-term effects of war. The two main characters in this movie end up dying because of the war--not by a bomb or any kind of weapon, but by the attitude of neglect and every-man-for-himself in such desperate situations. You should see it for yourself if you get the chance.
