Nice find, Tom! I like this a lot. Say, what do you use to "restore" your records? I havent been able to find a good program yet and by the sound of your videos it sounds like you have a good one.
@VeeFan1964 I use Adobe Audition. Part of the good sound comes from the fact that I have a good turntable run through a decent receiver right into my computer. Most records I post need little or no cleanup beyond an occasional pop or scratch and sometimes i leave those in anyway....especially on the videos on my other page where i do no cleanup whatsoever.
@thaxdouglas Of Conigliaro? Not that sounds like this....the flip side is a ballad, some people like it better but I don't....i may post it someday....this 45 is already lost in the shuffle again!
I like all the not-so-subtle baseball references in the lyrics ("play the field," "striking out," etc).

Based on the ZTSP number, this 45 was from 1965; it was pressed by Columbia Records' Pitman, NJ plant.

Interesting, I never knew he cut records. A real tragic story of his career and life being prematurely cut short.

Another Calello arrangement in the 1960s now has a Red Sox connection - Neil Diamond's original hit single recording of "Sweet Caroline" in 1969.
