im 17 skateboarder who has tendonitis in my right ankle and right knee. the pain comes and goes, but i hate so much, i never been in so much pain in my life. i wish there was something i can do to fix it. my right knee is so bad that when the pain comes i cant even stand. it effects my skating so much and being sponsored for skateboarding makes it even worse because i need to keep pushing my self to get better and the tendonitis is making my life a living hell </3
Hi, I'm a gymnasts and I have been experiencing this pain for a few months now, I would assume I have the tears in my tendons, how can I continue gymnastics and still allow them to get better? Message me if you can help! Thanks!
I'm 15 years old and i weight-lift, my wrists hurt sometimes but the pain goes away after the lifting, however, my forearms burn and feel like they're broken all the time. I usually ice them but i don't know what to do anymore, I don't want to change my workout routine though. Can someone help???
in my massage therapy and personal training I use muscle release technique (tm) on my clients...provided the infection and inflammation is not "hot". The infection has to be cleared before I work on the muscles. I really enjoy your description and animation! Thank you for posting! Sandi Buchanan, rmt, cpt lubbockwellness
Having done what I would call "extreme" pushings(hands on chairs and going down too far over too long a period of time), I wound up with wrist tendinitis. It tends to be intermittent and not all that severe but I'm strongly considering cold laser therapy.
Just resting it sometimes helps but it invariably comes back, esp. after being stressed for whatever reason.
oh god.. this video made me cry! im an artist and i draw and paint a ton.. especially this summer, as im putting together a portfolio for college... and now i have tendonitis.. can it heal faster?! what should i do?
its informational topic, i have bad pain in left wrist and forearm and now starting in right arm too, i reduced my daily activities, alot. seeing specialist for this from last year, he said he cant do anything because my pain is not on certain point. i am so worried and stressed out. doing exercises and some pain killers i cant take much because of stomach ulser. i dont know what to do...... not physiotherapy yet, i think i should go for that., is there any diet suggestion, i am vege. thanks.
@harsimranranu Not a expert or anything but I have tendonitis in both my wrists for over a year now. I can't take pain killers anymore too. I think you did the right thing by not doing too much actives. Just don't go down to zero actives because then your writs will lose strength.
All I do now is either put ice or heat when it really hurts. But, mostly heat. Also, I like to stretch out my wrists, but not too much because there is such a thing as over stretching as well.
Shoot. video said that for tendon tears no swelling may occur. I have no swelling in the affected area. I felt pain while playing soccer one day, so i immediately took 2 weeks off. Pain subsided 4-5 days after it first occured. Now, 3 weeks later, I don't feel pain when running, but there is a clicking sound right where the anterior talofibular ligament is... which i don't know why... it's subtle, when i extend the foot up and down...
Ok people I think I have Tendonitis at my shoulder and the pain is unbearable at times, sometimes I wake up from the pain. Any solution that I must do? I don't want to take painkillers every day and this is going on for 3rd week now any help is appreciated thank you very much!
@fanisff See a physiotherapist or doctor first. You can ice the inflammation gently and massage the tendon VERY lightly with your thumb. You can also gently stretch your arm across your chest. The best thing to do though is to see a doctor and have him refer you to a physiotherapist.
@chrisorlim I am most definitely not on expert in any kind of way, but I do have tendonitis in both of my wrists. I know from personal experience that when you have it, you cannot use full motion of that area. Although, my condition may be more serious since I cannot put weight on my wrists at all, I am pretty sure as long as it hurts, full motion is inhibited. I hope that helps! Check with a Dr. though! :) Feel better soon! :)
I have a doubt... i feel pain when i walk and stuff, but i can freely move my foot all the way down, so i dont know if i have a tendinitis or somehitng else, can anyone help me
Chronic tendinopathy is not an inflammatory condition, therefore the term "tendinitis" is now defunct. The fact that this condition is invariably a degenerative condition and not inflammatory has lead to the use of the term "tendinosis". This has implications: ibuprofen and omega-3s cannot be expected to help.
The BMJ editorial on tendinosis vs tendinitis provides many references for further reading. I would've thought NHS Choices would have taken note of developments..
@Teghead Hi, it is really interesting what you mention about this topic, especially because I´ve been dealing with tendinitis in my arms from over a year and can´t take any more ibuprofen. If you have any other information about this, I will really appreciate if you could post it ! Thanks.
@Teghead It is really interesting what you mention. Honestly, I will really appreciate any information you could post about this topic. Since I cannot take any more ibuprofen, probably I got a wrong diagnose. Thank you !
if there is a tear in the tendon, wont that cause inflammation??
