Why exactly do you need to SEE them? Shouldn't it be enough to know that the pictures exist? We are being accountable for them, no one is denying the pictures or the torture (except for those who initiated the whole thing 8 years ago, but that's another story).

It wasn't his decision to make anyway. He would have liked to release those pics, but the military advised him not to. That shows that he's flexible and open to counsel. That's exactly the opposite of what Bush would have done. It's the intelligent choice. Also, it's good strategy, because the Supreme Court is gonna order their release anyway, and Obama won't get the blame then.

I think Obama probably flipfloped on his campaign promise because when he made it he had no idea just how horrible and extreme the torture methods were. Releasing a few more at this point would never create the same spike Abu Graib did. In fact right now I don't think it would make any difference in that regard.

Let's clear the air here, Republicans tanked the economy and got some 70,000 troops either killed or wounded, all the while they collected mucho bucks for no-bid contracts for restructing contractors, the oil industry and the defense industry.

bush endangered our troops. think maybe you would think twice before surrendering if you knew you would be waterboarded, sleep deprived for a week or longer, locked in a coffin with insects then hung from the ceiling, have your head smashed against the wall, attacked by dogs, and even killed (yes we did torture some people TO DEATH. LOOK IT UP.) yea i dont think i would surrender either. that puts our troops in immeasurable danger. with obama stopping these techniques our troops are safer.
