Another good feature is the 'direct manipulations of x-y plots within viewports' which was badly lacked in previous versions, will make users (specially academics) get rid of the long tiring work of re-plotting the graphs in 'electronic spreadsheets'(like MS Excel) after importing the x-y data separately to an Excel file via notepad.
ABAQUS has come to a nice user friendly interface in the new version(6.7). The "Automatic Contact Detection" option and the 'shell element enhancements' will be very useful in layered FRP Composite plates' simulations, especially in those impact simulations...
