For those people that want to get started with photography, this is perfect camera to do so! Very nice quality, very durable, great video, just overall excellent!
I know what I'm talking about, because I own this camera!
@calikalinfo I'm unsure about the current price tag, but I'd go for the HX5V. It allows to shoot in much wider angle (25 mm as opposed to H20's 38 mm) and lets you record AVCHD movies in 1080i at 60 frames per second. It also sports an HDMI output. I believe it can be considered a worthy successor...
@redzg Thank you so much. Yes i think i will make this my first camera before stepping up to the 7d. Because i'am in love with that one ha! But this will get my hands going and learning a few tricks before heading all the way high so thank you

this is soo gay!!! i have tried to get my video clips from my computer into windows movie maker for like a million hours!! no matter what i try it wont work!! any help?
The software is fine, I had it set on "Prioritze upload speed" instead of "Prioritize Image Quality" just to set the record straight, again thanks for the help.
Thank you redzg, that was it video needs to go from the camera directly to youtube, skipping the PMB Sony software to load it to the computer!!!! I've been trying to figure this out on and off all day, thank you so very much!!!
For some reason when I upload my video's they are not high definition. I went through all the settings on my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20, and uploaded from the PMB software. Can anyone help me upload in HD? I would imagine others may of had the same problem. All the video's look great on my HD TV and on my computer, put all the video on you tube won't implement as hd....
@84BuickGNTurbo As far as I know, the Sony PMB's uploading function actually downgrades the resolution and quality of the video before sending it to YouTube. I'm not sure if there's an option to change the compression level and output format, as I'm not using the program. You can get them in HD, however, if you upload your raw MP4 video files directly (using normal browser-based YouTube uploader) after transferring them to your computer's hard drive. Hope this helps.
hey, I had a question for the person that uploaded this video. I recently bought the same camera. Can u please tell me the steps you took to upload the video to youtube. Thanks in advance.
Unless you want to edit your clips (add music, transitions, etc.), just transfer the MP4 files directly from your camera to your PC, then pick the ones you want and upload them using the YT interface and that's it! Their format is fully compatible with YouTube, which means it will also recognize the HD resolution without a problem.
@redzg Thanks so much for responding man. I was really amazed by the quality of the video, and I though compression might have been required. Thanks for clearing things up, you've been a big help.
wow the video is really nice, the colors are soo vibrant. now i'm confuse. in ur opinion which camera should i get the sony h20 or the sony t700? please help. thanks. :-)
Very nice video taken with the Sony H20. I to have the H20 camera I bought recently and what impresses me about the camera is its excellent focusing at full zoom as well as in macro mode. You can do a full zoom on your lcd monitor and read the text and it is focused. I don't mind the narrow lens because I do alot of zooming in anyways. It also does well under low light conditions. There is a High Sensitivity option you can select to record videos in lower light conditions.
Definitely! It's just like the reviews (especially the one on CNET) say. If you don't mind the narrow lens (38 mm compared to the average of 28 mm in the other models) and a lens cap, you certainly won't be disappointed.
