This is an excellent cover of a great song by a wonderful singer songwriter. I even got to tell him that in person once in Houston during the later 70's. Gene should be singing for us still, he bailed out too soon. Nice sounding Martin too.
Great performance and singing. Not too many people really know obout what Gene did after the Byrds. Just the other day I was listening to a George Strait record, and thought, were have I heard this before, is it a cover? Actually it was a Clarke tune. No knocks on George, I think it is a tribute to Gene. Just listen to Lefty's Gone by Strait. This is a Clark tune, on the tip of my tounge, but I can't think of it.
