@ba773r1na Izzy is a great song writer, there's no doubt about that. He's not as good guitarist as slash. Why dont u post some videos of izzy playing a solo?? Most soloists can play rhythm guitar, But most rhythm guitar players can't pull off certain solos. Izzy has written some of the best guns n roses songs, no doubt. When it comes to guitar though slash is 1 step ahead.

He's not the best guitarist in the world, and not only compared to the huge ones like Jimmy Page, but also compared to guitarists of other 80's bands.. For example, I prefer Mick Mars. Slash could never play well in concerts, his sound was very bad and he made mistakes all the time, that's why I prefer Izzy,he sounds better,dirtier and clearer.Just an opinion.

Slash has 2 idols thats he worships.... jimmy page and jeff beck.... jimmy plays hard rock, so does slash.... jimmy plays a les paul so does slash..... u can see in slash's style how much he inluences from jimmy.... so u know the comparing makes alot of sense... Jimmy page started the ball rolling, without him, there wouldnt be rock 'n' roll guitar like there is. Slash, although my favourite guitarist, doesn't come close to Jimmy Page in ability... Maybe technical ability but pure not songmanship, Jimmy page was a musical Genius. Did you know he wrote most of Led Zepp's lyrics as well as the music? The only one that Robert plant wrote on his own was "Thank You"..

I prefer listening to Slash, but Jimmy is better.

And I saw through the book that those guys were really connected to eachother, like brothers. But GN'R were never like this, so I don't know what was going on with those guys, I guess none of us knows.

Very interesting stories and it's very well-written. One of the best authobiographies, I guess :D

The members of this band never looked to get on well with eachother, there were always problems and weird stories, so I don't wanna read something that's not real. @TheRilesFiles None of you obviously know jack about GN'R. I reccommend Slash's autobiography. I just finished it and it is truly awesome. There are a number of other books out there about GN'R if your intersested. On a related note, a lot of the material on the illusion albums was written prior to appetite coming out such as "back of bitch", "don't cry" and "november rain".
