sure dont smoke on the underground because there are a lot of halfwits around but you ban smoking in pubs and bus shelters, come on! and this is coming from a NON smoker!
10:35 Gee thanks smoker; nice to know your lack of consideration for other people got a whole bunch of people killed. People shouldn't be smoking underground anyway, where are the fumes supposed to go; it's poorly ventilated as it is.
Liverpool has Merseyrail, the world's first "deep level" underground rail network, bored out of solid rock - 1886. It was the second underground railway after London.
sydney , museum to st james, and bondi junction, is the sydney underground. English influence, standart 4ft 8 1/2 in. guage. British engineering responsible for much of sydney rail influence, including culverts and cuttings, original signalling of old, guage of rails, early steam locos designed in london
looks like a fantastic muse the metro system here but its nowhere as advanced as this (understandably so because London metro is the oldest, the ridership is huge). I am however very fond of Montreal metro which is very advanced and is just like Paris metro.
Montreal metro is cool, but Paris is hardly advanced as it's quite old. The most advanced I've been on is the metro in Athens which was built for the Olympic games in 2004, it was flawless
Thats great. But I live in Toronto and the TTC is good. But Montreal Metro is just fantastic. So fast and so quick. Inside the train its all digital. Digital clock, announcements so modern. TTC's new set of trains are flawless as well which will be coming by the end of this year.
I think it's a background, but it appears to be the closed Aldwych station. This is used for films and has an unpainted 1972 stock train stabled there. This can be seen used in the poster for the 2004 movie 'Creep'.
it doesn't seme 'spacious' enough. On the current tube stocks you can tilt your head forward if you stand at the edge, allowing more people on. How can you do this on a space train which is rounded at the top and the bottom? Plus, I don't like it for other, personal reasons.
The new S stock planned for 2015 has articulated sections that allows passengers to walk between carriages easily. Plus with every new train there's less and less seating and more standing room to give more capacity. It seems the Space Train is sneaking up on us, whether we like it or not!
2015 seems so far away. Articulated sections have been in use on other undergrounds around the world for years and years, so a similar stock is available for purchase immediately.
"electronic power", "DC power", "AC power" its all too confusing!

I love it how they say that the central line has a complete new look and show Baker Street station, which is certainly not on the central line! :-P

Why thank god, iv done some research on this and it seems like a rather good idea. Seems a little silly to scrap the space train idea
