  • Canada does have abortion laws! And it's legal murder, a trap for the woman being forced

    Exceptions

    (4) Subsections (1) and (2) do not apply to

    (a) a qualified medical practitioner, other than a member of a therapeutic abortion committee for any hospital, who in good faith uses in an accredited or approved hospital any means for the purpose of carrying out his intention to procure the miscarriage of a female person, or

  • Trudeau's famous quote had nothing to do with abortion. It was made when he struck down laws criminalizing homosexuality.

  • @pirbird14 Actually the same bill that legalized abortion legalized homosexuality, birth control and divorce - that's why it was called the Omnibus Bill. Trudeau gambled that if someone wanted birth control or divorce legal, they'd vote for the Bill even if they didn't want abortion legal. He was right, the Bill passed overwhelmingly.

  • @pirbird14 Actually, the bill that legalized homosexuality, legalized birth control, divorce and abortion. Trudeau gambled that if MPs wanted to legalize some things like birth control, they'd vote for the Bill even if they didn't want to legalize abortion. He was right - the Bill passed overwhelmingly.

  • I find it irksome when I see men advocating against the rights of women, by attempting to restrict their freedom of choice. The amount of shame deposited upon the shoulders of women considering abortion is horrific. As a lesbian, the likelihood of me ever needing an abortion is slim, but as a woman, I consider the right to choice to be of the utmost importance. I am thankful that our government subsidises abortions, and puts the rights of women before outmoded societal conventions.

  • @HTROXURSOX Is choice absolute? Should women be able to do whatever they want to choose? And if not, then which choices should be limited?

  • @Canbuhay Naturally, choice is not, and should never be, absolute. If this were the case, there would be no semblance to order or reason. However, in a situation of personal choice, such as the decision as to whether or not to have an abortion, of course women should be free to do as they wish. If someone is not willing to carry or give birth to a child, than they should not be required to. To illegalize abortion would be a denial not only of the rights of women, but of human rights in general.

  • @HTROXURSOX "If someone is not willing to give birth to a child" - is the point. If she's a child does the fact she's dependent on her mother give her mother the right to kill that child? We don't give anyone that right in Canada.

  • @Canbuhay Could you try rephrasing this passage? I found the wording a little difficult to understand. From what I have gathered, however, I would guess that you are comparing the murder of a child to an abortion. The situations are vastly different: abortion actually prevents such actions, because it allows people who, for whatever reason, do not wish to be parents, to avoid the situation entirely. By illegalizing abortion, would there not be a greater rise in the malicious murder of children?

  • @HTROXURSOX The situation is only vastly different if the pre-born child is not a person like us. What scientific evidence do you have that they are not the same species as us? That they are simply human beings who are at a different stage of development as us? We can't discriminate against people just because they are younger than us. We should all be anti-choice about discrimination.

  • @Canbuhay To this, I return your question, reversed; what scientific evidence suggests that a cluster of embryonic stem cells is sentient, and definable as human? It is discrimination to deny women the right not to carry a child. I am slightly opposed to abortion in the latest stages of pregnancy, since evidence suggests that a fetus is, by this time, developed enough to feel pain, but before this point, there is nothing to differentiate between a fetus and the cells which comprise any organism.

  • @HTROXURS The fact that u call a little baby a fetus shows how the theory of evolutuion has destroyed and is still destroying our conscience. The BABY is a human from the moment of conception. WHo the hell are scientists to decide whether the baby is a human or a bunch of cells. I tell you what, the fact the 'bunch' of cells FORMS a fully functioning human being as it devlops proves that it is far from a random bunch of cells. Any living or devloping creature WILL feel pain, even in early stages

  • @Badwolf182 Yes, indeed. Who are specialists in the field of science to make informed decisions in regard to the physical development of a fetus? We must never allow reason to take precedence over irrational outbursts or poorly substantiated claims. Incidentally, the word I used was "cluster", not "bunch". If you wish to paraphrase me, please do so accurately.

  • @HTROXURSOX arguing over semantics (bunch/cluster) is ridiculous. Usually done by ppl who have nothing to argue abt!

  • @Badwolf182 Similarly, appalling grammar and inaccurate quotations are the mark of an individual with no capability to argue in the first place. You're quite fortunate that your comments are not literary works for appraisal by an educator, because you would most certainly fail to meet their criteria.

  • @HTROXURSOX answer me this question...at what point do you consider the baby or in ur case the fetus to suddnely become a fully fledged human?

  • @Badwolf182 Please do not attempt to oversimplify a gradual biological process. Just do a little research, and you'll be able to answer that question for yourself.

  • @HTROXURSOX What you are suggesting is murder- nothing short of murder. The hell with a womans right. I am a woman and I am ashamed that there are women who 'choose' to murder their children and society seems to be ok with this.

  • @Badwolf182 Well, naturally, the fact that you are a woman gives you the right to make decisions regarding the uteri of all others who share your physical sex. Quite logical, really.

  • @HTROXURSOX NO it's not logical - you gays gave up ur right to the womb - so shut up.

  • @Badwolf182 Aah. So you admit to being utterly illogical? I sincerely hope that this was your intention, because according to your sentence structure, that was exactly what you did. Also, the use of "you gays" would imply that all members of the LGBTQ community are in possession of a womb; clearly, this isn't true. How many gay males do you know with the biological capability of carrying children? I never expressed the personal desire to carry a child; just advocated for choice in regard to it.

  • @HTROXURSOX omg that explains everything. U R a frickin lesbian dictating to others what women should or shouldnt do. Sorry u gave that right up when you stopped being a woman. BTW I dont give a fuck that u call me homophobe. The gay community has single handedly destroyed the family unit. You are all a disgrace to humanity. Shame on u

  • @Badwolf182 "Dictating"; quite an appropriate word to describe advocating for freedom of choice. I think, however, that attempting to control the decisions of other people would be a more accurate definition of the same. I'm not even going to respond to your bigotry in regard to my sexual orientation, but I will say that I'm quite ashamed that anyone who references Doctor Who in their Username would be so idiotic. Sorry, but you gave up the right to enjoy the show when you disregarded logic.

  • @HTROXURSOX Freedom of choice? U use that term loosely dont u! What abt the rights of the baby? Murder is ok as long as its out of sight (womb)?

As for bigotry ? lol having a moral opinion is now considered bigotry - then so be it. Frankly - I dont give a fuck abt ur opinion but what pisses me off is that gays awlays advocate abortion and 'womens' rights. What a fucking joke. Both feminist and gay movement has destroyed the family unit. Now get the fuck out of here you smelly leso

  • @Badwolf182 "Don't you?", not "Don't u!" It's a rhetorical question, not a statement of fact. If your "moral opinion" is grounds for justifiable bigotry, than my opinion on abortion should go unquestioned by you. I don't particularly care about your opinion either, but it saddens me to see a woman suffering from such a severe case of internalized oppression. I still don't understand how you can possibly like Doctor Who and be so prejudiced, considering the subject matter; do you mind explaining?

  • @HTROXURSOX 1. anyone picking on grammer here is an idiot bcoz they fail to undertsnad word limit and txt talk. 2. u call me a bigot like it's a bad thing 3. you assume as does the rest of u pervert gays that a womens valued role as mother, wife and housekeeper is 'suppression' - MORON. 4. you conveniently forget that homosexuality is a developmental disorder defined by the failure to establish a permanent bond with a member of the opposite sex. contin......

  • @HTROXURSOX the gay male is caused when a male child fails to bond with his father. By having sex with men, the adult gay is trying to compensate for father-love denied in adolescence. lesbianism is a woman's reaction to being rebuffed or abused by her father.

    5. why the hell do u gays ALWAYS have to bring in "i am lesbian woman" or " as a gay man" Who gives a fuck? I dont go around making statemtns such as I am a heterosexual woman. Ridiculous.6. you ppl disgust me. 7. you are disgusting.

  • @HTROXURSOX 8. you are not normal. Homoesexuality is a mental illness as was stated by the DSM. 9. as a lesbian, you are neither a man nor woman - i have seen you lot walking around and I find it repulsive and the gay man is same, one cannot tell if they are male/female. 10. you are a disgrace to urself, ur family and society . U have nothing to offer the world but ur sick views and sexual practices........oh I hav mentioned the fact that u r disgusting hahaa

  • the thing that makes me most ashamed to be Canadian: free abortion

  • What about the rights of the unborn baby?

  • @alonelychild

In Canada, babies don't have any rights until the moment they are born.
