i remember i was sitting in bed thinking im bored i should watch a movie. i had my brothers room since he moved out. i was looking around for movies at like 2 in the morning. i found garden state and thought my brother loved it i should watch it. well i watched the movie and i dont think there will ever again be a movie made with the simple greatness of garden state. its amazing. most 11 years may prefer spider man or sumthing. but i truely love garden state and always will

Origianlly, the people who had the rights to simon and garfunkles music were going to charge an outrageous amount of money for Zach Braff to use this song in his movie ( it was like 200,000 dollars). So he sat them down in a theater, and absolutely blasted the song and played this scene, i may be wrong but the let him have it for around under 5,000 dollars or something like that.

Add me to the sobfest, this is a wonderful scene. It gives you such hope. I was honestly iffy about parts of the movie, but the scene just before this one where the guy explains the Infinite Abyss and then this scene really made the movie for me. I love how Zach Braff's face starts to relax and change before he goes outside as he prepares to let loose. Amazing.
