Poor old Ed. He used to be the host of a kids TV show in Kansas City, MO. called 41 Tree House Lane. I was on that show in 1972 at the Antioch Mall in KC. Ed has had a tough life, made some pretty bad mistakes too.

In Windows Movie maker, I can't seem to edit out a segment in the middle of the video. I can cut from the beginning and at the end, but from the middle, I can't seem to do it.

Hi edarem,

All you need to do is click the clip you wish to edit, then scroll along the timeline to where you want to cut (where the video plays) then click "split" which splits the clip into two and you can then edit from the middle.

Sir,

Have you tried to position the blue bar In Windows Movie Maker to where you wish to "cut" the film and then pressed Ctrl-L ? (You can also access that function by going to the "Clip" drop down menu and selecting "Split".

You then position the blue bar on the timeline again to where you wish to put the second "cut" and do the same thing (Ctrl-L).

You should be able to then select the new bit of film you have cut and then Right Click on it to Cut, Paste, Delete, etc.

I hope that helps.

First you click "Show Story board". Next you drag the selector on the timeline to that part of the clip you want to cut out. Next click the "cut" button on the bottom right of the preview screen. Then presto! you can cut parts of the clip!

Chili and pasta is a good combo, sometimes I add spice to the spaghetti sauce my family buys so I can have mock chili and do basically what you did :]
