I help out a diesel performance shop and own a duramax that is tuned, lift pump, intake, exhaust, and tranny and it only made 540 to the wheels. @harujp2 You would have to do a complete engine build with dual fuelers and either a huge single turbo or compund turbos. There is no "stock" diesel pickup in the world that makes over 600HP with just tuning. There is very few completely built duramaxs with 1000BWHP.

accually just about six can be made with tuning. yes you are right few have made 1000+ but thats just a not wanting to go faster in ppl or money.. tuning a tranny and a larger turbo six hundred easy. 650+ dual fulers lift pump compound turbos and you have a fast truck^like shown.
