i been listening to this for 15 mins straight and it aint even close to getting old man you got some talent in you bro keep it up who knows you may get famous
See - Algun - You make a valid point, even if I don't wish to admit it :).
I, however, seem to be odd - As my 3rd and 5th are my least used.
Yeah...I'm pretty sure that I'm doing something funky with my chromatic transiton...
But - I enjoy being self-taught because it means I avoid the scourge that is sheet music...Or rather, the scourge of fantastic pianists who can play with nothing but sheet music, and cannot write/truly hear the music that they play.
really like the sound overall. the playing style really emulates a guitar's tone, and the play style of ascending/descending, overlapping, and alternating notes. very cool
Cool! :) I'm a guitarist and I very like your performance...You can try to recorde it with a band no?! :) If you will do it, please, post the video ok YouTube
god you are making wish i didnt have to sell my fantom x8 EVEN MORE. i miss the hell out of that thing, and love the COSM!!! btw, where did you get that backing track, and where can i download it?
You can't what you people don't get is that a keyboard works far more complicated that those silly silly strings in other for some one to try this why would need years of experience and pedals and remember there is no such things as greatest player ever look at this guys he plays amazingly and just cos he plays good dosen;t mean hes famous and I have hear famous keyboardist in bands and you barely hear them
This guy could be very famous if he just got off his kiester. I belive that whether you become famous or not is all about determination and creativity. He's obviously got the skill to be an artist, but does he have the resolve and the artistic touch to make something that people will enjoy listening to?
i was listening to this solo and it wouldn't be very hard to do on the guitar, ive played for over a year and ive heard faster and harder from my friend who has been playing for four years.
now im not saying that this guy sucks because hes amazingly good for having no formal lessons at all, i think that if you applied yourself correctly (IE lessons and learning to read music) then you could become a god.
ok i believe that someone who is going to UNY (University of New York, also known as the most exclusive music school in America) for just guitar (inclusive of guitar theory and raw skill) would be able to do this.
ive heard him sweep pick on multiple occasions, he can finger tap this. and also if you don't know what either of those are i will give you some different perspective on my friend's skill, he can play Flight Of The Bumblebee at full tempo.
screw the emotion, i just want to fucking know the key and scale to this song so i can learn it on guitar.
it is really emotional, and it does require moderate technique, but i can nail this one if someone can just fucking tell me the key and scale!!!
oh yeah, the reason i'm so pissed is because i've asked this guy for over a year to tell me but he won't say shit. nor will he tell me where he got the backtrack. FUCK!
The backtrack were probably already on the synth, they come with all sorts of beats =/... and if you really want to know what notes he's playing, watch vid in slow motion :P?
thank you thank you thank you!!!! i will transpose everything on to guitar. i just read my comment and i sound kind of like a butt so excuse the harsh language; i didn't mean to sound like a jerk lol. anyways, thanks a lot for the help. i'm righting the chords on a notepad right now.
ok im not a big synthesizer person ive just happened to notice that some units have multi directional joysticks (or whatever their technical name is) ive always known that up and down was pitch adjustment kinda like a whammy bar on a guitar but ive never figured out what the sideways motion of the stick would do...is it the same thing just for user prefrence or does it affect the note in some other way? thx!
Typically, such joysticks change the pitch up or down when you move them sideways, and up/down changes the sound - making it "fatter"/"thinner" or controlling some other effect. (What's known as LFO or AfterTouch, etc.)
a really nice sounding patch, before this I thought that guitar sounds on keyboards usually were so-so, but here it really sounds awesome and authentic, keep it up dude!
Very nice work! The only thing about technique is that you make easier and more efficient your playing. But this doesn't mean that you can't produce wonderful music, like you have done! So keep up and play with your heart!
Nice!-don't listen to those idiots--just play and use your ears--screw technique(if a person has no heart or inovation-all the technique and classical training will amount to alot of nothing!)Nice ambient solo-keep on synthing, dude!
What is this? Roland? Korg? I think that is a Roland but I dont Know the model. Sorry for my english. I want to boy a keyboard with those lead for solos like (rudess, johanson...) Answer my cuestion if you understand me jejeje, Thank you
yepp, he plays awesome. But using all five fingers and learn to move the five fingers is necesary for advanced play. Im not a person to judge this guy though this is the man.
nice music also sounds cool. But you have five fingers on your each hand and you should play with "ALL" of them. You almost use your first three fingers while playing but you have five fingers, didnt you recognize?
without professional help, you'll obviously find your first three fingers are your strongest and fastest and not have too much thought about your 4 & 5
but as for the video, great job man. you dont often see self taughts as good as you. keep it up bro.
I really didnt mean to be offencive, I am self taught too. It was just a friendly warning.
One day I was playing in a keyboard store to try a digital piano, a guy warned me like this and I recognized that he was right so I developed my technique. It is a good thing trust me.
Algun's giving good advice mate, theres no shame in being taught by someone, and theres no glory in being self-taught either, I was self taught on the guitar for 3 years, thought i was the shit, then wanted to progress to uni n found out I actually was shit lol went thru two years of classical training and am heaps better. Musics hard man n some things you just need to be shown! you defo have some natural talent tho so keep it up!
holy jesus! i never heard such a good guitar patch on a keyboard. most keyboards i've played have a cheesy guitar sound. this sounds like the real deal. could you tell me the model and year of your keyboard?
thats cause its a $1000 keyboard, most keyboards in the range (and up) have pretty good guitar sounds, a great example of that is the korg tr61 has an excellent guitar sound (same price range).
damn, that dude is rich. well, that kinda pisses me off knowing that i have to buy something around 1000 dollars or more to get a good guitar patch. i hope i can come up with the money some day. thanks for the info on that, and i'm gonna try out that Korg Tr61 you were talkin' about.
