  • the 11 that dislike this jackoff for a living fuck em your fuckin awesome

  • Do you know the Korg r3? If you do, can you recommend it?

  • what kind of piano is that?

  • @7MultiSean - A Roland Fantom

  • @7MultiSean churchorgel

  • @7MultiSean A roland fantom S-88 for exactly

  • NICE NICE YEAH RESPECKT TO YOU PLAY

  • That, was awesome!!

  • Hey what scales or runs are you playing, Chris?

  • @TrueYears just a minor scale w/ some half note fills

  • See - Algun - You make a valid point, even if I don't wish to admit it :).

I, however, seem to be odd - As my 3rd and 5th are my least used.

Yeah...I'm pretty sure that I'm doing something funky with my chromatic transiton...

But - I enjoy being self-taught because it means I avoid the scourge that is sheet music...Or rather, the scourge of fantastic pianists who can play with nothing but sheet music, and cannot write/truly hear the music that they play.

    Also - Rock on!

  • incredible man. just incredible!

  • very nice really. You are good!

  • this is fawless. may i ask what synth keyboard and module synth you're using? looks like you got them chained to get that great sound.

  • Great job

    Some very cool guitar licks

Also like the fact you jump out

    Of key too

  • Steve Vai is top 2 guitar Gods of mine lol.

  • That sounds like Steve Vai - good job.

  • phenomenal job bro, you got that shit locked down tight. very very nice.

if your not in band or something or trying to get something out, you should, that was excellent

I think you should put that up on itunes or something haha id buy it, no doubt

  • man I want that patch so badly, lol

  • wow thats great

    !

  • Very very VERY NICE!

  • That's nice!

  • Grettings. Fantastic job man.

  • really like the sound overall. the playing style really emulates a guitar's tone, and the play style of ascending/descending, overlapping, and alternating notes. very cool

  • fantastic!!!

but ... if you can play a bass solo slap, you will be god!

    take care man... :)

  • Cool! :) I'm a guitarist and I very like your performance...You can try to recorde it with a band no?! :) If you will do it, please, post the video ok YouTube

  • Sweet! how long have you played ?

  • you're a better guitarist than me by lightyears....

and you dont even play guitar :P

    really enjoyed listening to that.

    reminded me of satriani!!

you should be very proud (Y)

  • or8 chill winston. it is good, and it is possible to play on guitar but not easy.

    simple

  • you are amazing

  • dont look just listen. peace

  • god you are making wish i didnt have to sell my fantom x8 EVEN MORE. i miss the hell out of that thing, and love the COSM!!! btw, where did you get that backing track, and where can i download it?

  • he plays just fine and certainly fast enough without your bullshit 5 finger technique, so i don't see the need to relearn how to play

  • learn to read music

  • need to work on your digitation man, otherwise great work

  • That's great man.

    I like it so much.

I wish there was a download.

  • niceeee! kinda Satch licks

  • And now try it play on guitar :-D

  • hahahaaa!!! loool!

  • You can't what you people don't get is that a keyboard works far more complicated that those silly silly strings in other for some one to try this why would need years of experience and pedals and remember there is no such things as greatest player ever look at this guys he plays amazingly and just cos he plays good dosen;t mean hes famous and I have hear famous keyboardist in bands and you barely hear them

  • i play guitar and piano/keyboard and it would be probably just as hard on both

  • This guy could be very famous if he just got off his kiester. I belive that whether you become famous or not is all about determination and creativity. He's obviously got the skill to be an artist, but does he have the resolve and the artistic touch to make something that people will enjoy listening to?

  • i was listening to this solo and it wouldn't be very hard to do on the guitar, ive played for over a year and ive heard faster and harder from my friend who has been playing for four years.

now im not saying that this guy sucks because hes amazingly good for having no formal lessons at all, i think that if you applied yourself correctly (IE lessons and learning to read music) then you could become a god.

  • This would be moderately difficult to do on guitar.

  • respectively

  • Ok. Your a fool to think your friend can play this. its incredibly melodic, and you are kinda wierd to think otherwise. his actually good.

  • ok i believe that someone who is going to UNY (University of New York, also known as the most exclusive music school in America) for just guitar (inclusive of guitar theory and raw skill) would be able to do this.

ive heard him sweep pick on multiple occasions, he can finger tap this. and also if you don't know what either of those are i will give you some different perspective on my friend's skill, he can play Flight Of The Bumblebee at full tempo.

  • I really dont care what your friend is. and Im from norway so i dont care for that school either. Ur ignorant to say that this is an easy solo.

  • you say that I'm ignorant for saying that this is an easy solo, yet you dont care about my support and evidence for my reasoning.

Also saying that you're from Norway does not excuse you from ignoring the rest of the world.

  • its not about the speed

    it's about the emotion

and this is a damn emotional solo :p

  • screw the emotion, i just want to fucking know the key and scale to this song so i can learn it on guitar.

it is really emotional, and it does require moderate technique, but i can nail this one if someone can just fucking tell me the key and scale!!!

oh yeah, the reason i'm so pissed is because i've asked this guy for over a year to tell me but he won't say shit. nor will he tell me where he got the backtrack. FUCK!

  • The backtrack were probably already on the synth, they come with all sorts of beats =/... and if you really want to know what notes he's playing, watch vid in slow motion :P?

    Anyways :P lovely vid

  • you caught my interest so i figured it out for you, ill just name the notes in the chords i dont know how you'd word them on guitar

    1st C G C

    2nd Bb F Gb

to answer your question the key is C minor, but the dude in the video constantly "resolves" on the D

  • thank you thank you thank you!!!! i will transpose everything on to guitar. i just read my comment and i sound kind of like a butt so excuse the harsh language; i didn't mean to sound like a jerk lol. anyways, thanks a lot for the help. i'm righting the chords on a notepad right now.

  • What keyboard is that?

  • Roland Fantom-s 88

    .

  • real cool atmospheric music ! n1 !

  • cool man

  • I can't read music either.

  • you can't read music... you are self taught...

but you've got the music in you!

    so sweet!

  • look at people who are self taught they don't feel music people they follow rules and regiments that other people create from them to read

  • @electrolu im self taught n i can read music and i compose my own music...

  • ok im not a big synthesizer person ive just happened to notice that some units have multi directional joysticks (or whatever their technical name is) ive always known that up and down was pitch adjustment kinda like a whammy bar on a guitar but ive never figured out what the sideways motion of the stick would do...is it the same thing just for user prefrence or does it affect the note in some other way? thx!

  • Typically, such joysticks change the pitch up or down when you move them sideways, and up/down changes the sound - making it "fatter"/"thinner" or controlling some other effect. (What's known as LFO or AfterTouch, etc.)

  • man that is great. i can tell you have spent MANY hours a day to get where you are, i know because im in the process

  • Korg Triton Extreme amazing keyboard!

  • It sounds like a guitar solo and THAT is great !!!

  • this is one my favorites and im in love with this video. it takes me to a peaceful place in my head. thank you so much.

  • SUPERBE PRESTATION

  • YOU ROCK!!!

  • a really nice sounding patch, before this I thought that guitar sounds on keyboards usually were so-so, but here it really sounds awesome and authentic, keep it up dude!

  • 5 stars and favourite... i love this kind of stuff! slow and simply amazing. nice work

  • If u have a recording of these track please e mail it to me thats awesome .......

  • really beatilful man (Y)

  • wow, that was amazing, now i want a keyboard. keep it up!

  • this is brilliant!

  • You play really good! It's a shame that you don't use your right ring an pinky...

You're not using your full musical potential!

  • its what happens when you self teach, i am sorta the same way with guitar

  • yeah, but the best thing to do is keep playing... you'll teach yourself new things all the time...

  • wow, wish i could play that on my guitar, awesome

  • Waooohhh

    Only Waooohhh

    "a novice keyboardist speaking"

    x]

  • Very nice work! The only thing about technique is that you make easier and more efficient your playing. But this doesn't mean that you can't produce wonderful music, like you have done! So keep up and play with your heart!

  • Nice!-don't listen to those idiots--just play and use your ears--screw technique(if a person has no heart or inovation-all the technique and classical training will amount to alot of nothing!)Nice ambient solo-keep on synthing, dude!

  • what key and scale is this?

  • Extraña posición de las manos tocando el teclado, pero muy bonito el video.

  • damn ! that's cool man ! i play guitar it doesn't sound so easy ... good work !

  • What is this? Roland? Korg? I think that is a Roland but I dont Know the model. Sorry for my english. I want to boy a keyboard with those lead for solos like (rudess, johanson...) Answer my cuestion if you understand me jejeje, Thank you

  • It's a Roland Fantom S88...it came before the Fantom X8 and now the Fantom G8.

  • Really nice :)

  • really nice

  • did you make this song... cuz i want to dowlaod it...

  • what did you use for the back round beat?

  • amazng

  • Great job! Fantastic performance!

  • I was looking for a nice word for this solo and I think "Lush" best fits this. Thanks drunkship12 for the perfect description! Great work brougham!

  • Holy shit! That was lush!

  • yepp, he plays awesome. But using all five fingers and learn to move the five fingers is necesary for advanced play. Im not a person to judge this guy though this is the man.

  • learn your technique you'll be leaps and bounds better

  • dude what synthesizer is that?

  • that was sick!

  • nice music also sounds cool. But you have five fingers on your each hand and you should play with "ALL" of them. You almost use your first three fingers while playing but you have five fingers, didnt you recognize?

  • dude, he's self taught.

    give him respect.

without professional help, you'll obviously find your first three fingers are your strongest and fastest and not have too much thought about your 4 & 5

but as for the video, great job man. you dont often see self taughts as good as you. keep it up bro.

  • close your eyes , you wont know the diff and it wont bug you as much:)

  • I really didnt mean to be offencive, I am self taught too. It was just a friendly warning.

One day I was playing in a keyboard store to try a digital piano, a guy warned me like this and I recognized that he was right so I developed my technique. It is a good thing trust me.

  • just messin w/ya man, I cant even read music and im sure my technique is way wrong. As long as were havin fun its all good. It wasnt offencive.

  • Algun's giving good advice mate, theres no shame in being taught by someone, and theres no glory in being self-taught either, I was self taught on the guitar for 3 years, thought i was the shit, then wanted to progress to uni n found out I actually was shit lol went thru two years of classical training and am heaps better. Musics hard man n some things you just need to be shown! you defo have some natural talent tho so keep it up!

  • mental

  • great !

  • your like me i also self tought and canot read music

  • sounds great...

  • Loosen up your fingers. They're too stiff. other than that a great solo.

  • strange technique you have...

  • Love your stuff.. Love to jam with you someday haha

  • also, what backtrack were you playing? sounds really nice and peaceful. obviously a good back track to improvise to

  • holy jesus! i never heard such a good guitar patch on a keyboard. most keyboards i've played have a cheesy guitar sound. this sounds like the real deal. could you tell me the model and year of your keyboard?

  • thats cause its a $1000 keyboard, most keyboards in the range (and up) have pretty good guitar sounds, a great example of that is the korg tr61 has an excellent guitar sound (same price range).

  • damn, that dude is rich. well, that kinda pisses me off knowing that i have to buy something around 1000 dollars or more to get a good guitar patch. i hope i can come up with the money some day. thanks for the info on that, and i'm gonna try out that Korg Tr61 you were talkin' about.

  • Very nice. Thanks for inspiration.I think You are the guitarist to-as for building the solos . Is it the Fantom S ?

  • yeah bro I like some of the licks you got in there

  • very awesome, i recognized a few licks in there (im a guitarist). one sounded like this lick from bagman... either way very cool

  • wah, so cool

sounded like a real guitarist playin a solo

    gd job!

  • its amazing. sounds just like a real guitar player

  • Nice sound, Very smooth and clean...not to choppy or rushed. You did a real good job of expressing the solo with out killing it.

  • is this a stock fantom sound? i have a yamaha motif, but this blows it out of water (and i realize its the playing, not the sound, that makes it so nice...great solo!) i was thinking on getting the 61 key version....are the sound sets basically the same?

    thanks

  • no

either get the motif ES like I have or get the newest one with ncluded VOCODER...same price as MOTIFES ut bigger difference in sound, articultion, megavoices, and others...so in conclusion...GET THE NEWER MOTIFS (Not the MO, they suck)

  • Newer gear doesn't help you make better music.

  • Dude, how much did u pay for ur keys?

  • hi yeah this is well cool-nice playing and sound..haunting....u talk of the roland phantom-can u tell me the name of the patch of the sound u are playing

  • Ya hay una version mas completa del tema, si queres pasate

  • that's sweet. i play synth (i've got the 61 key yamaha). can u play anything by styx?

  • Very cool.. sounds just like a real guitar to me !

  • Amazing

  • I really enjoyed this. Great job

  • hey how long have u been playing for?

  • I have been playing keyboards since I was 2 years of age. 1 keyboard teacher and 1 million influences and counting. Music is my life and I like all aspects of it. Thank you for viewing my video.

  • Nice lead! Can you tell me what you're playing?

  • Very Cool!

  • what kind of synth is that. I am thinking of getting into them.

  • Yes, it is one of the Roland Fantoms'. The synth is just a preset guitar sound in the Recording Template selections.

  • That is really good.
