  • so najahface makes video under what name?

  • @christinad690 I think someone commented below but I don't recall the screen name. Thanks.

  • How is your IPAD? Can you do a review please? Thanks!

  • @blueottlisa Oh sure. I'll do one this week. Thanks for the suggestion! I love the iPad when I can keep my husband's paws off it!

  • 1. I love your hair.

    2. THANKS for mentioning me.

    3. I squealed hearing the names of ladies' hair I've ogled on Fotki as well.

  • @blkgrl1 Hey Girl! Didn't know you had a channel!!! Yay! Thank YOU for the shared hair journey. I could have made an hour long video tribute on Fotkins alone.

  • You seem to be such a nice cool likeable person, - I really think we could be good friends in the real world :-} I never got to see Najahface but I looked at ladykpnyc a lot - along with mwedzi, crownofhisglory, curlychronicles, lydiaprately[?], then RusticBeauty, beautifulbrownbabydol, sera2544,and longhairdontcare sealed the deal for me with their success and of course kimmaytube and now mslala on the naturalhairshow101 along with you are some of my new favorites.

  • @Ninagirl1966 You've named so for real natural divas. Thank you for adding me to your favorites! I am as I appear and I'm glad it emanates through your computer screen. Thank you and please stay tuned.

  • Loved Najahface and Lady KpNyc.......loved that time on you tube!

  • Great Video!!!.. I wish I around YT during the early days najahface...I heard alot about her...love ur fro!

  • @watchfuleye2008 Thank you. Najahface was great.

  • What a nice video. It's a wonderful thing when we can recognize one another in a positive light. That's why I so enjoy you ladies on YT.

  • @11zeaky Thanks for the love!

  • heyyy!! nice video response!! i never got to see Najahface, everybody was talking about her when i first found YT, but she had stopped making videos, i just read in 1 of the comments she is now Onixlsis, so i am going to check her out. i remember watching some vids of ladykpnyc! :)

  • @louloumatou Thank you. Najahface was brilliant. I checked the channel and it is her. She's not talking about hair much though. Ladykpnyc's videos are still up and relevant.

  • Ladykpnyc is now an attorney in NYC. She was and is still one of the best!!! I love this video sis. I think I did something similar when I first started but I definitely would like to do this one again. Excellent video sis!

  • @naturalbornqueen Fantastic! I'm so happy that she's finished with school and is now an attorney! I know she is wearing them out! I really enjoyed making this video. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

  • Excellent vid.

  • @zheahra Thank you. It was fun going back down memory lane.

  • I remembered Najaface. She was awesome. She would style her daughter's hair and gave good info about natural hair. I hope to could find her again.

  • @raineylee She was a great demonstrator. I looked forward to her new videos. Someone commented that she's on YT but not making hair videos.

  • Your hair is beautiful. I have to check out ladypknyc. I'm so new to the YT game, I have to catch up!

  • BTW Najahface is still on YouTube (with a different channel name. She's on YT as Onixlsis ). She doesn't make hair videos anymore though :o( I was so surprised to find her again. She's rockin' locs again. I'm just glad she's still on YouTube!

  • @Smile2DayTears2Morro Are you serious?! I am so going to visit. Thanks for the tip!

  • I LOVE Fotki! I was hooked on Fotki waaaay before I came over to YouTube. I still have my Fotki account but I haven't updated it in a few months :o( I remember you from Fotki too! YES Ladykpc is the guru of natural hair vids.

OMG lol @ smile2daywontbeback! Haaa! That was TOO funny! Girl, vegetable glycerine was the stuff back in the day....and still is! Aww you're my hair hero too! I loved looking at your pics on Fotki.

  • I am grateful for the time you and others have taken in raising awareness and pride in our natural hair :)

  • @curliefro You are welcomed. It brings me joy to do this because I love it!

  • Awesome tribute! Ladykpnyc and najaface definitely contributed to laying a foundation for me when I decided to go natural. I didn't come across Smiles2daytears2morrow until I was looking for fitness videos and came across her awesome and inspiring weight loss journey. That's when I found out she was natural too!

  • @TheEccentricDiva Love them!

  • I found ladykpnyc's video by accident through google when I was looking for natural hair care products. She was awesome I remember going through all her videos and I was just so excited, amazed, inspired, and just in awe. I never expected to find videos about afro textured hair online. Then from her channel was how I found fotki and other youtubers, str8isis, empressRi, Rusticbeauty, afrohairsecrets, mrbrice, curlychronicles, etc etc...awesome tag video!

  • @starrsvm It is a great one isn't? It's nice to pay homage to the trailblazers. OMG and you've named some legends girl. Str8isis had me thinking Kinky Curly could work for my hair. Too funny. I loved her shower application. That sounds creepy but you know what I mean if you saw the video. She was working it. That's creepy too but you know what I mean. I will just stop now. LOLOLOL. Thanks 4 commenting!

  • @thecreativelady ahhaahaha...i know exactly what you mean, I watched that video a few times lol...she made the kkcc look so easy!!! haha goodtimes...

  • @starrsvm Exactly. Good times for real.

  • I loved ladykpnyc as well! I defined my curls for the first time following one of her tutorials! She was FAB!

  • @Zaharam2 Oh yes girl. Ladykpnyc reigns supreme.

I could have rambled for hours about my hair heroes but I had to make it short & sweet!

  • najahface was awesome!

  • @kylahsmom1 Wasn't she?!!! I wonder about her often.

  • The very 1st person I found on the internet was Glamazini and at the time she had a site called Roshini.net I was natural for a long while before I found her but she was my 1st inspiration!

  • @AfroMohawkable Wonderful! I really love this. Thanks for commenting.

  • ...unintentionally. I have my license to do hair so maybe that's why??? BUT I started with Locs and I didn't know anyone personally I could turn to if I had questions. But I don't remember trying to find anybody either. Did you ever attend a "Happy 2 B Nappy" gathering? And I love what you said about videos back in the day being about "hair". Sharing information. Not competing or the other things that go on. I saved this as a favorite.

  • @LuBellaCoils I have not had the opportunity to attend a gathering yet. Thank you for commenting!

  • You look so cute (just had to say that lol). I didn't realize you've been on YT that long. I just noticed a vid you did 2 yrs ago. I'm sure you have older vids. Some of the first video footage I watched were of "Happy 2 B Nappy" gatherings. At the time, I had been natural for years & didn't know gatherings like that were going on. My sis had locs for a minute and she bought hair books, magazines, subscriptions to monthly news letters about natural hair, etc. I guess I isolated myself....
