  • thats my aunt and uncle

  • IM BAILEY YARNELL

  • <3 you Lorene, RIP.

  • I saw them live at Rexburg!

  • I'm always amazed at how Robert could keep his eyes open for so long without blinking. Not necessarily good for your eyes, but that blew me away!

  • RIP Lorene Yarnell -- dead @ 66

  • I'm not sure what made me think of these guys today, but for some reason I did. Then I thought "There can't possibly be any of their stuff on the tube." What a suprise! I remember watching their show, and their prior performances on the Carol Burnet Show. I was about 12 yrs. old then, but I had such a (silent) crush on Robert Shields.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • I'm looking for someone who was on their show..Flip Reid (Reed?) also a great mime..he was in commercials also.

  • freaking good animation!

  • very underrated performers...what happen to them..???

  • They went back to the toy store. didn't you pay attention?

  • @freein2339 After their 14 year marriage, Robert moved to Arizona and Lorene moved to Norway. They reuinted a few times for some performances. Lorene Yarnell passed away this year at age 66.

  • @TheFrankenstein72 Sorry to hear that Lorene passed away...

  • I was around 10 when this air'd and I loved it. Great to see a clip of this.

  • looks like Micheal Jackson

  • they were always kind of creepy

  • They had their own show. A mime is a terrible thing to waste!

  • Loved their records! They were a great act!

  • The shows they appeared in were usually not that great and the jokes often hokey. But they practically defined the robot-act. A lot of robot breakdancers int the 80s used their techniques.

  • I'm trying to remember what show they where regulars on, I was thinking Sonny and Char but no? What show?

  • there was so many variety shows in the 70s.. Shields and Yarnell had their own as I remember.

They were so great! I'm so glad they are not forgotten!!

  • me too

  • Oh no! A mime is a terrible thing.

  • AWESOME - Thanks for sharing !!!!
