@Wiseman501 why yes you very well can, but changing keys cant expand the range of tones available.... and sometimes a bassier sound or even alternate tunings can make things interesting, nearly like learning a new instrument. for instance have you ever heard of new standard tuning? everything is tuned to fourths instead of fifths and its completely new patterns and it sounds completely different, like a new instrument

I've done the drop D, Drop C, all the sharp and flat tunings, nashville tuning and so on, but I've never heard of this "New Standard" style. Seems similar to like, a tweaked violin, because it takes the "Even temperament" out of the inherently even guitar. What string gauges would you recommend?

It's real. It's nigh impossible to play standard tuning with gloves on, but this is drop tuned, which makes it a fair bit easier. Must still be a bit of a pain though.
