  • David's beautiful voice is the highlight of this episode. Not to take anything away from bobby, but there sure was something pure about David's voice. The twin guitars were a good idea. Both are good pickers.

  • I could watch and listen to David Soul all day long and not get tired of him. I can't say that about anybody else.

  • I don't know if jessie7378 ever comes to this video and reads the newer comments, but there is no way that Bobby is playing the guitar for both him and David Soul! It is obvious that David is doing his own guitar playing. It's also obvious that David is rarely looking at his hands to see where his fingers are placed on his guitar, but Bobby does look down more. Not that I have anything against Bobby, but talent wise singing and playing the guitar I'm definitely for David!

  • LOVE David Soul's voice. Gives me goosebumps! A warm fuzzy feeling. Wonder what Bobby Sherman and Bridget Hanley are saying to each other??

  • Love it!

  • Honestly, Bobby has the better voice and talent here but was gracious enough to play guitar for David so he could have his few moments of fame as a singer. Of course, David later married Bobby's ex wife and then beat her. What a great guy David Soul was but Bobby...he rose above it and has gone on to help others and be an outstanding citizen as well as a person you can really respect! I'm on team BOBBY!

  • I remember watching this and wanting to see it again (and again). We didn't have DVRs or anything back then.

  • This is the ideal Christmas recording!

  • this is so cool i love this show david is great! xxx

  • This is a very ancient song with various translations, but here's what they are singing here:

Oh the holly bears a berry as red as a rose; Mary bore Jesus on a cold winter's morn. Mary bore Jesus our Savior to be, and the first tree in the greenwood, it was the holly.

Oh the holly bears a berry, as grass it is green. Mary bore Jesus, a babe, yet a King. Mary bore Jesus our Savior to be, and the first tree in the greenwood, it was the holly.

  • Teen idols like Bobby come and go, but REAL talent, like David, have careers that last a lifetime. I know, I fell hard for David in 1968 and 40 years later I am still crazy about him! Now thats a crush!

  • David is a great actor and I loved him in both "Here Come The Brides" and "Starsky and Hutch." However, your comment that teen idols like Bobby come and go is wrong. Just because we haven't seen him on television (he is giving back to his fans by being an emt) doesn't mean that we don't still think about him and love him just as much as you do David. I also fell in love with Bobby in 1968 and I am still crazy about the guy!

  • Oh, I am not criticizing Bobby for being an emt. It is a way of giving back. I only made the comment because another fan was ripping up David and I said that he lasted longer as an entertainer than the flash in the pan that is the career of a teen idol in most cases.

    I apologize if I offended.

  • You need not apologize. I wasn't offended. I thought you were talking about the "flash in the pan" singers and actors that come and go that no one ever remembers. saying that Bobby was one of those. I always felt that even though Bobby did great in emotional scenes and carried his weight that David was the much better actor -guess that was proven when David ended up on "Starsky and Hutch" and Bobby had that little show that didn't last a season. Bobby was the better singer, tho.

  • This was great I havent heard this since I was 8 and I am 44 now Thank you I wish they would out here comes the bride back on TV

  • the clip was very nice to see again thank you.

  • This is so Cool!I Luv this Song!Is there any1out there,Pls,who may hv,ALL the Lyrics?Jst asking.I Thx-u.Thx for Posting!!Vid,Cool, too,David,and Bobby!Wow!!!

  • I love this show. I have thought about this song for years and tried to find out the name of it. David Soul and Bobby Sherman were great but I guess I was the only young teen to think Jason Bolt was hot, still do. They're all three hot. Wish it would return to the oldies station!!!

  • I watched this show every week. It had a great theme song.

  • God, Robert Brown was hot.

  • For "rakshasa7": Too funny! I punched up this clip by accident, started watching it, saw Robert Brown & thought to myself, "Gosh, I forgot about his character on the show. Man, I didn't remember how good looking he was since we were all focused on Bobby Sherman." Only to scroll down & see your comment at the top of the page! I laughed out loud. You are right! He sure was HOT & I was only 8 years old at the time! LOL!!! Wonder what ever happened to him? Is he still among the living?

  • Robert Brown is still alive although he is 81 years old. According to IMDB his last appearance was in an episode of "In the Heat of the Night" in 1994. He's been married 4 times and divorced 3. He has been married to his current wife since 1986.

  • What a sweet moment! Thanks for the memories. Gosh, those guys look so young and innocent. I guess we all were back then ... just didn't realize it.

  • I remember I loved this show very much. I was 12/13 when it first came on and very much in love with Bobby. If there are any Star Trek fans here, do you know the 3 connections to the original series and this show?

  • David Soul - guest star in the episode "The Apple."

Mark Lenard - twice guest star in "Balance of Terror" and "Journey to Babel" as Spock's dad Sarek.

Robert Brown - guest star in "The Alternative Factor."

    Yes, I know. I'm a geek.

  • Very good, glad to know I'm not the only geek here. ;) Did you know there was a Star Trek book that connected the 2 shows even more? It was called Ishmael by Barbara Hambly and I found it very good since I am a big fan of both shows. If you haven't read it you can get it from Amazon for around $2, it's worth it for any fan.

  • I had heard of that. Isn't that the one were Spock goes back in time and meets the Mark Lenard character and discovers he's a descendent of his mother Amanda?

  • Yeah, that's the one. I haven't read it in years but it's a good one.

  • Thats a GREAT book!

  • I think they are saying "Merry Christmas" to each other.

  • Oh how sweet they sound.

  • I just listened to a Henry Rollins song (Low Self Opinion), and it was horrible, so I punched this up. This is so much better. It may not be ANGRY, ugly, hip, or cruel, but it's so much better.

  • I love David Soul! He has such an amazing and beautiful voice!

  • I loved this show and watched it every week and I had a crush on Bobby Sherman, I had all his posters wallpapering my bedroom walls Thanks for posting :)

  • The scene is corny, but the song is beautiful. I love the song.

  • Why didn't Bobby and David ever cut a record together?

They sounded great. Great show, too.

  • The young brides are Susan Tolsky and Bridget hanley! Susan is alive and wel and doing voice overs. I see her at my gym!

  • I loved this show too. Can't wait for season 2 on DVD!

  • I loved this show as well. Those Bolts were all such handsome fellows!

  • Wow Bobby Sherman and David Soul singing together! I forgot David was on this show. I loved David's voice.

  • Gosh how old was david in this?

  • Bobby & david (Born/1943)

  • so cute this must of been a while a go he looks so young

  • The show only aired from 1968-1970 so sometime in there. Funny thing was at the time Bobby Sherman was the bigger music star (If I remember correctly) but he was singing harmony.

Loved the show. Thanks for the video!
