make sure to mute the strings after each time you pick them. it's complicated so i don't blame the guy for asking tips. it always leaves me in awe when i see somebody like rusty cooley do godly sweeps like he does. btw make sure you have a comfortable guitar. if you have a guitar too thin, or too fat it will be extremely frustrating to sweep. try starting on a nylon string because there is no unwanted feedback and it makes it easier. i still need to practice, but these are some helpful tips.

This guy really shouldnt be trying to sweep at his level... It is one of the hardest techniques to master and if you arent an advanced player, there really is no point.... It requires experience, knowledge and skill to pull off... Took me a full year of constant practice to get it down...
