so in comparison to metal halides. what would the equivalent wattage of a metal halide lamp to a 7w white led strip , example: 1 7w led stripe = around the same light input of 70watt halide?
TBH, I have no idea what the comparison is m8, the Aquaray Units are 12w each and I have 5 fitted so a total of 60w of LED's, without tanking PAR readings I can't tell you. But I would say that the light produced and light penetration is at least as good as a 150w Halide.
o yea i meant 12w but do you think initially your paying alot more for lighting that a metal halide, you must of spent about 450 pounds on the leds but you could pick a 150w halide up for probably 200, but then theres the running costs, you'd probably make the money back in a couple of years or so, these lights confuse the shit out of me.
Its not Just the Lekkie m8, its the Bulbs No need to change bulbs every 6/12months, Heat no need for a cooler/Fan as heat production is minimal.
Total outlay at present for lights is £395 which is the same as a good New Halide with built in Actinics. And they a Guaranteed for 5 years with a 10year life span.
