Very nice P.Js, I think I know the man behind the stick but wont "drop names", The system they have mounted aboard this Bell 407 is leaps and bounds or lets say LIGHTYEARS ahead of the old wire braced boom and the amount of liquid the 407 can take-on makes for cost savings for PG&E, P.J Helicopter's INC are "who's who" on the west coast and are consistantly working on new technologies
Great, we are the fews that are doing the wash, we have been doing it for 15 year here, we are in a island therefore, 206 is enough for us here. 206 is with a 100 gallon tank also but we carry 60 gallon which gives 40-60 minutes wash . The pilot's work load is the key point. We went to the direction of accurate wash without wasting water. Do you have cost compare between the two. May be We shall change to 407
The power company has used a Bell 206 for 10 years to complete washing and has now switched to the 407. The tank capacity is 120 gallons, so they are washing about three times as many insulators in a day. The effective wash range of the system is over 6 meters and the wash pressure can be adjusted up to 2000 PSI. Simplex makes the wash equipment and is working on FAA STC approvals.

Hello,
The power company has used a Bell 206 for 10 years to complete washing and has now switched to the 407. The tank capacity is 120 gallons, so they are washing about three times as many insulators in a day. The effective wash range of the system is over 6 meters and the wash pressure can be adjusted up to 2000 PSI. Simplex makes the wash equipment and is working on FAA STC approvals.
