  • That was sick!!

  • that thing sound awesome

  • I have a 87 Ramcharger and think they look good, and the older stepside dodges like my 74 are ok,but I always thought the regular trucks were'nt to good looking......but this is the most beautiful ram I have seen,it shines like new money, the bright red paint,.....it's nice man, what is the exhaust?

  • try lmc for parts they usually have everything thats where i got some of my stuff awesome truck man

  • I have an 89' thats red with black fade, thats my big red lol

  • Is this and automatic? And how much of a difference did that K&N air filter make, performance wise?

  • that was bad ass man..it helps when you work at ok tire to get news tires for that hog

  • oh really that would be nice. i heard somewhere also that the 318 is the same up till the late 90s somewhere

  • ill have to check that out than. it sucks but its worth it when you have something kinda rare thats pretty nice lol. i was googling stuff and found that jet performance sells in line performace chips for our trucks too. they are kinda pricy but they advertise 25 whp i was thinking about picking one up, my dad put the supercharger idea in my head also but i cant even find one its lame haha

  • oh wow thats crazy man, its nice to see there are older dodge fans out there. it sucks trying to find parts though. im missing my rear passenger side brake like chrome trim and i cant find it anywhere. and i need interior trim also but no one makes anything for these trucks really.

  • @ethan706 0- yeah, parts are hard to find. I got a pair of new tail lights for mine off ebay... interior stuff is hard to come by. some of the plastic trim is broken in mine and I cant find good pieces anywhere.

  • @ethan706 - Ive heard that Kenne Belle builds a supercharger setup for the 94 and up Rams that are suppose to be easy to retrofit to the 93 and earler magnum engines. never researched it any though.

  • i have the same truck same red and everything haha i bought it last march and love it.whats all done to your truck? everything is original on my truck, and i tried doing that with my 31x10.5 r15 all terrain ta's and it sure didnt burn like that

  • @ethan706 - all it has it a K&N air filter with a chrome air cleaner, I eliminated the cat, a vortex muffler with dual outlets... tires are 31x1050R15 Yokohama Geolandar ATII's. other than that, it's bone stock

  • nice truck man

  • nice truck

  • one wheel.... shits weak!!!!!

  • Keep in mind, its a stock 318. also keep in mind, the other set of marks right next to the one I made in this vid are mine also... both tires, just as long, all the way up to the rev limiter

  • hey come and check out mine tell me what you think stay tune in the video i got an exhuast clip in it to. what gear ratio do you have on urs i need more info ur truck

  • i call mine clifford

  • i got one question why is it everyone loves straight pipe no flows or anything

  • dunno. Id prefer mine be a little quieter, it is just the way it turned out. I dont really like the sound of a straight pipe. sounds like a derby car or something.

  • How did you get your duals around the transfer case?

  • It is a single exhaust back to the muffler, with dual outlets from there.

  • Oh ok, sounds good tho

  • it should fit but without cats i got just like this on on with true duals and both exhuat go out thru pass side and out on front of the wheel with flows and sound amazing

  • damn what a black mark

  • damn was there any tire left!!! you let a ford guy see that he will piss like a PUPPY go mopar

  • Very nice truck. 5.2L? and what kind of mufflers?

  • haha youve got to be kidding me we call my dads 89 dodge ram big red too

  • yeah, me too. I have a truck exactly like that except it's totally different.

  • I thought it, you said it. LOL

  • nice!! i have the exact same truck except mine is black and has a 10 inch lift

  • beatiful truck

  • Thanx

  • nice truck sounds like a hot rod. About how far do your tips stick out past the bumper? mine stick out quite a ways but idk how far yours do.

  • Hey, thanx. The tips only stick out 2 or 3 inches beyond the bumper, just enough where you can read the "Gibson" on the end of them

  • i have the same Gibson tips as you do, and mine are about 4.5" to 5" and stick out 3" past my bumper. I just have to keep them in mind when i back up

  • I got hit from behind at the bank drive thru and fortunately she missed the exhaust, I had my receiver hitch in that day and that is what she hit.

  • I'm re-doing an 89 D100...and I need to know where you bought your exhaust system. And are you running true duals? or through 1 muffler and dual out of the muffler?

  • The exhaust is a "cat back" setup. I eliminated the converter, put in a 3" pipe and attached a Vortex muffler (cherry bomb). it is a single 3" inlet, dual 2.5" outlets. really woke up the truck. From there I had the two tailpipes bent at an exhaust shop and capped them off with a pair of stainless Gibson tips

  • mine is just straight 2 1/4 pipes from the manifold and 2 cherry bomb glasspacks. but the system is rusted out so im pulling it all off and starting from ground zero on it.

  • my 81 has pretty much the same exhaust as yours, I think the glass packs were Blue Knights... dunno who made them. it sounds pretty good, definitely cackles at wide open throttle.

  • Nice i plan on doing this when i finish the restoration on my 1978 Dodge Littl Red Express, gonna be freking sweet.

  • Stock manifolds and y-pipe, no cat, cherry bomb vortex muffler with a 3" inlet and dual 2.5" outlets. thanx for the compliment

  • sweet old truck man i love it, that 318 has a beautiful voice. what kind of exhuast set up are you running?

  • Awesome truck man! i have the exact same truck only blue and alot faster! what ur quarter mile time?

  • thanx. actually have no idea what it runs in the quarter. never ran it, though Ive always been curious, it seems to be a bit faster than most truck like it. I did run 2 truck my brother owns, one was a 2001 with a 360, the other was his 2001 with the 24 valve cummins and an Edge chip in it. I beat a fella with a chevy pickup who ran mid 15s with his, but he was an idiot and sat there and spun his tires for quite a while off the line.

  • i just bought a 2000 dodge dakota sport ex cab.if u was going to motify a little what would you start with

  • start with exhaust. it definitely woke mine up, and the sound is much more appealing than stock. oh, and first gen dakotas nearly always need upper ball joints right away. sorry, man

  • 1998-2004's are actually second gen dakotas. but they do always need ball joints.

  • Man, I not calling bullshit on ya but if you think a T.B. spacer gave you 22 extra H.P. you better have some dyno sheets to prove it.

  • thats bullshit. it helps alot, something that isnt that expensive only 80-95 dollars. it gained me 22hp and 26lbs ft of tq. street performance and electronics - HELIX throttle body spacer.. its new technology, its good but it wrissles when you accelerates, sounds nice if u like that

  • cool, I might give it a try. thanx for the input

  • with K&N airchager 63 series and helix throtte body spacer..

  • Does the spacer help out much? I have thought about using one, but have heard it kills low end torque, and 318's need all they can get.

  • yea i have a 2005 dakota 4.7L V8, and i have the vortex v-baffle exhaust. i think it sounds the best on the dodge trucks

  • how do u like the vortex muffler?

  • how do u like the vortex muffler?

  • At first I thought it was a bit loud, I was going for a little mellower tone, but it really helped the power alot and with the pipes running straight out the back, you dont even hear it running down the highway in overdrive. Pretty happy with it now.

  • Hell yeah love those old Rams, we have 6 in our family, 2 are power wagons along with other old mopar muscle. Check out my buddies old ram 2wd (on my videos) Nice job on your truck, nice smokie too lol

  • Hey thanx for the remarks. Loved the Ram movie. I have the one in the vid, plus an 81 ram. Also have a 74 Dart Swinger, which I havent gotten a chance to video yet (online anyway) And of course, finally a 98 Neon, which wont be doing any burnouts, but its still pretty cool. Sorry to hear about your Scamp. My bro has one, its a 76. He put a Dart front clip on it and is waiting for time to get it all painted. Should be a nice project when he's done. Take care, have a great day

  • I owned a truck similar to yours. An 1988 Dodge W150. Mine was absolutely stripped except for an automatic and AC. Like yours it had a 5.2 V8 and four wheel drive. Unfortunatly, it didn't have the Magnum engine, for that came out in 1990 and that upped the horsepower rating from a respectable 180 to 230. Though, torque figures stayed similar. Do you happen to know if the fuel filter is located in the tank? Usually they are located in the engine compartment, but, I couldn't find it.

  • Fuel filter should be on the frame rail on the left side of the truck, forward of the tank. pretty much any fuel injected engine will be located there. fuel pump is in the tank.

  • Nice pickup. Are you the original owner? Is it equiped with a 5.2 Magnum and 4 wheel drive?

  • Hi thanx for the comment on the truck. NOt the original owner, yeah, its got the 5.2 mag. also it is a 4 x 4 with auto/overdrive trans. LE model, loaded, power everything. I run a K&N aircleaner/filter and a vortex muffler with a single 3" inlet and dual 2 1/2" outlets. 3.50 gears in the diffs. if you look closely at the video, there is a really long posi burnout right where I did this one, thats mine too!! Dunno how I pulled that one off, cuz the rear diff is open, no limited slip.
