To restate my point:

The guy may have talent, fine but I hate groupies who fall in love "with those eyes". What do eyes have to do with talent? That's my only point. There are far better musicians than him and some worse, just because he is new and fresh look doesn't automatically give him special talent.

This indicates that you believe he isn't talented enough to win without the audience being hypnotized. To dlite922: American Idol isn't a beauty contest. American Idol didn't make a great talent of David Cook. It only gave him an opportunity to display what was already there. As for being "just a regular person", before he cut his first record, Elvis Presley was a truck driver, born in Tupelo, Mississippi. Greatness doesn't wear a brand so the world can identify it, but like the sunrise, it is very hard to conceal.

Hi dlite922 - have you ever HEARD him sing? His voice is amazing; that's what gets people's attention. The fact that he IS a regular guy; humble, down to earth, and sensitive is what really draws people to him. And yeah.... he's pretty darn good looking. ;) Attraction is a funny thing; it's not always perfect features that makes someone attractive. David is the complete package with MANY attractive qualities.

I think David has beautiful features anyway! I thought so very early on in the show...he was a little pudgy but I noticed the very even features - wide set eyes and brows, perfectly straight nose, and beautiful teeth and a very sexy smile. He is definitely good looking - we're not all just duped out here!!!!

And well the Voice, is STUNNING and ASTONISHING!!! That is a given.
