@MrsLady414 you can youtube your hair type if you are wondering check out websites and EXPERIMENT because things that work for one person may not work for you i wlill give u a few tips for all hair though 1.) shea butter 2) cleansers and not sulfate shampoos 3) a tangle teezer to detangle (i love this thing) 4) keep your ends clipped for my first two years i used only twist and loc gel then it was curly pudding (the cheap one) although miss jessies products are the bomb they cost- good luck

Your hair after your BC looks just like mine now!! So I'm a 4a/4b hair type, I'd been trying to figure that out for a while. It's only been 9 months since my BC and my hair hasn't grown out a lot becuz I've trimmed it twice cuz I'm so paranoid about relaxed hair still being in there and breakage but now I'm sure all the relaxed hair is gone & I'm not gonna do another trim until maybe next year. @brattiness22 - I am not sure where PrettyBlaqueGirl got hers, but I bought a similar metal headband at either Rite Aid or Walgreens at the end of last summer. Every time I wear mine I get compliments. One day I wore it while my hair was in a curly fro and a white colleague told me it looks like a tiara. :-) I hope you find one!

I noticed in the first videos, it seemed that your hair would dread and tangle after would take out the tracks and wash it. Do you still wear weave with your natural hair and if so, is it as damaged when you take it down and wash it. I went natural for 10 years, then moved to Hawaii where it was humid and no one on the island would do a press and curl so I gave in. @BornInDaygo no my hair does not dread anymore. I currently wear sew-ins 90% of the year for no more than 3 months at a time. This is my form of protective styling. And I have been to achieve growth and retain length by doing this. My hair dreaded in the first videos because the natural portion and the relaxed ends did not work well together. Since I have done the big chop i haven't had any problems.
