he's saying "WEAVE"???! that's hilarious. this whole time me and my sister thought he was saying "WEE" and it's been a bit of an inside joke, we quote from this part of the game all the time because it just seemed so ridiculous.... it's really not as funny if he's saying "WEAVE"
How did you play this on a modern computer? Also, If anyone can direct me to "standard MODE1 ISO dump" (if .bin or .img files fall under this category, they work too) i can possibly post a link making this playable on any homebrew-enabled psp. Thats right, Spaceship Warlock on the PSP! xD
Oh and AppleDouble, hqx, and binhex format files would possibly work also. I would prefer a megaupload link if possible :)
It runs fine in XP with a CPU-slowing program like CPU Killer, but I'm not too sure about Vista. It also runs a lot better through a copy of 3.1 emulated with DOSBox.
Ya. It's a tough fight. This game is actually better played if you have a slower machine. You'll note that when he talk he keeps getting interrupted by his own dialogue. Oh, and the reactor he feeds you too is right behind you during the fight. For some reason you had to click on it and turn around to beat him.
I have a program called CPUKiller3 that I use to slow my computer down, but I decided just leave it really fast for the fight scene because it was funnier.
That's actually a very nice touch. I wish my old Mac had it when I still had this game. I remember how hard I worked to get to the point where I could pilot one of the shuttles, and the moment I took off I died. I mean, literally. Didn't even start piloting. It turns out I forgot to shut the airlock door when I got in. Wow. That game was really smart.
Looking back on it, so much of the game seems incredibly corny/unnecessary. I played this game long before I touched Myst but a bit before I played The Journeyman Project. Had I played it after that, I probably would've completely forgotten about it.
I'm amazed I could even find it as a torrent still (hey, when it's not being sold anywhere, what other option do you have?).
Is there any way to defeat him? I remember I'd always lose the game at this point.

Despite it, Raskul still interrupts himself.
