  • Cool! But try a Marine Band 364 in D. It'll be much better because you get the low tones of the original. Congratulations!

  • Słabo... profanacja

  • Hey Hakan good stuff.

Looks like a SM58 mic? How are you recording? Direct input to a computer or a mixer?

(Sounds like I hear the low reed hitting the plate)

  • Great video!

Can you please please post the tabs?

I've just recieved my low d harmonica and i wanna try it to! :D

  • wuts so special about this damn bird

  • Nice amp!

  • Great!!! Plese tabs for that great start riff!!!

  • Härligt Håkan

  • Thanks for your reply, HakanEhn! I have been listening to your wonderful riffs daily, now that I have discovered you! I'm going to follow you because your mesmerizing style keeps me wanting more and more! Yeah!!

  • Awesome!! Wow, what a rush!! Unbelieveably expressed!!

  • @nativegirl1828 thanks! It´didn´t sound like sonny boy but it is fun to play this song

  • Yes! great!!!

  • Big fan of your work towards exploring the outer limits of the harp. Though do you think you can give us a play by play on the main riffs? I think I have the gist, but some details would be awesome.

Also, you don't need to have a pretty voice to sing the blues! You just need the feeling... or a cold!

  • Thanks!! Yes a cold will help a lot! When I make lessons I try to stay away from these harmonica gods (Sonny Boy, Little Walter etc) since there are so many blues purists around with their opinons

  • Klasse!!!!!!

  • Thanks!!

  • Great Job Hakan!

Hope someday you will give a lesson on Sonny Boys Great Song...

  • Hei

  • Hy Hakan, another very cool Version of Sonny Boy´s Hit, you play your own Style but it sounds great.

    Greetings icibizzi

  • Thanks for all the videos and info... All of them are well done and easier then most out here to fallow along.

    Keepem coming

    PLEASE!!!!

  • Great job Hakan, you are an excellent Harp player. I think you played this song the way you wanted and in that way made it your version, which I think was great. I listened to Sonny Boy's rendition of this song and it was true Sonny Boy which was great, He's one of my favorites, but as I listen to yours, it is also great. True Hakan Ehn.

  • Thanks for your nice comments!

  • Tenes un sonido espectacular!!! que microfono y que equipo utilizas???

  • Talking to me??? Sorry I don´t speak norwegian

  • low D is a flat D?

  • D harp one octave lower

  • Nice try. I give you a A for effort and a 5 rating, but. I hope you don't take this in the worng way but I think you should have slowed down the song a little and made it really "Swing" the way Sonny Boy did. Those of us that love Sonny Boy's style know that we can never duplicate it, but try singing this song in your own natural voice. Let's face it none of us can sound like Sonny Boy. He probably never took a singing lesson or a music lesson in his life, and that is the genius of the man.

  • Thanks for your comments. But please don´t take this vid too seriously!! I was sick, i had a bad cold and a sour throat and my voice collapsed. Then I thought "goddammit now it´s time to sing!!!" I will practice to make a better harp version but I will not "sing" (until I am sick again).

  • Klasse gespielt!

  • Danke very mycket!

  • yeah! great job Hakan!

    Your friend

    Konstantin

  • I´m glad you like it Konstantin!

    Hakan

  • thanks! the text wasn´t too complicated

  • great stuff as usual Hakan - thank you

  • but you can sing if you want. you have to do some vocal exercises to make your voice stronger. do a glissando from the lowest note to the highest note that you can sing. up n down. start soft. do this in the breast voice and in the head voice. when the breast voice and the head voice are strong do the same glissando from the bottom of the breast voice to the top of the head voice, your good sense of melody will help you to get the right notes of what you want sing. good luck!

  • OK! I will try that - thanks!!

  • Great job Hakan,

    Friendly :

    Steph.

  • utrolig bra:)

Lydbilde er jo bare helt rått.

Enig med blueslycanthropus, en tutorial hadde vært cool.

  • Tackar! Som sagt jag behöver träna mer...

  • great! and the vocal part - for me - is good too.

I hope you will teach us this in one of your lesson.

and keep on practicing to sing man! ;)

    O.

  • Thank you! I need to practice more on the harmonica first and make an intrumental version. I know I can´t sing but I´ve got a cold right now and my voice is really distorted so it was fun to try.
