@lastdragon55 Ehlo wasn't gonna block MJ's shot either way. What else could Craig have done more than he already did. One problem was he was 6'3'' with not a lot of hops and even despite that he did a good job getting a hand in Jordan's face when Michael released it.

the beauty of this is watching mj shake off one guy, get the ball....then two more guys attempt to follow mj and "guard" him as he shoots right over ehlo who just proved white man cant jump....higher then mj lol
He had to do this to the cavs. Why not the Celtics or the Knicks? No he does this to the cavs. We might have won the championship that year if it wasn't for that guy. That is the only thing I have against him.
@hyperShadicDhedgehog well you don't have to feel bad for the Cavs. Personally I wanted the Bulls to win, but the Cavs played them about as hard as any team. Ehlo was a friggn soldier in this game. He got elbowed in the face in the last 5 minutes of this game from what I remember. He was tough. This game ending is the most intense I've ever seen Jordan play. You can tell by the way Ehlo falls down after the shot in agony and the way Jordan "celebrates".
@hyperShadicDhedgehog I'm just saying you can still be proud of them for playing so hard even though they lost the game. You don't always have to win a championship to be remembered. I bet Jordan himself would tell you he'll never forget this game.
lebron would stuffed wack ass jordan..on that play..or any play...just like how lebron is waaay better than kobe..rings are nothing..check the man's stats!
Man I hate playing basketball and I am not too into it but hell Michael Jordan was one hell of a player and all of these highlight videos and crazy shots he has, just amazes me. He has changed the game of basketball and has influenced many people. He in my eyes and everyone's eyes is a legend that will never die. Now everytime I see Hanes commercials I just cant help but visualize these dunks and buzzer shots he takes. Just purely incredible!
this shot was made 10000000x better by the second group of commentators making the call, their reaction is almost as good as the shot itself. that is how you make a shot legendary.
love how kobe shaved his fro and tried to imitate Jordan as much as he could as soon as Jordan left the league. Kobe is a great player and learned a lot from Mike, and Phil Jackson, but he will never be Mike. I had the greatest opportunity of being able to witness one of the greatest era's of basketball which was the 90's so yes, I can say that Mike is still in my mind the greatest player in the NBA.
Imagine if Monte Ellis had a coach like Phil, that would be the reawakening the NBA needs
@Madara1012 Cannot argue that MJ is STILL the best of the bests. I don't think today's players dare to compare themselves to MJ. I mean, why should they... If you want to be the best, I think, you have to admire
the best, like giving credits where's due. Look at the stats, MJ's 40+ points per game!
I still have nightmares about that shot! Mainly because I WAS THERE WHEN IT HAPPENED!! I was 9 rows up and cata-cornered from the Cavs' bench. This was the last time i cried over a sporting event until Ohio State won the national championship in '03.
You have no idea what you said, where did your 40% guarantee come from?
Search MJ's "Failure" commercial which said "... 26 times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed..." And check Chicago bulls' website, it'll tell you MJ had 25 game-winning shots as a bull, so his clutch shot FG% is about 50%.
@TheJackal325 And check 82games'com and you'll see your idol Kobe had a under-league-average(29.8%) clutch shot FG%(25%, 56att. 14 made), from 03 to 09 season.
Of course Kobe is not a better clutch player. If KB ends his career with more clutch shots than MJ, it's not because he's more clutch, it's simply because he had more opportunities to execute, he has lower FG% why is he more clutch?
The fact is Michael Jordan is more consistent and more effective than your idol Kobe, it won't be changed.
@TheJackal325 Let's do some simple math as to avoid any doubts:
I know Kobe had a couple clutch shots from rookie year to 02 and he so far seemingly has 25 clutch shots totally, so let's assume Kobe perfectly made 5 game winners in his first 5 seasons and also perfectly gained 6 more from 09 to now, then his clutch shot FG% will be 67 attempts and 25 made, that's 37.3%.
Please compare 37.3% to 50% and go back to tell me Kobe is a better clutch player.
@seraphlgabri kobe is a better clutch player. You're math is biased. Kobe has outperformed mj in every category when it comes to bball. Fact: MJ played the "flu game" with a 99.4 degree fever. When kobe played his flu game he did it with a 101.2 degree fever. Kobe was more fatigued, and played against much tougher opponents than the "jazz". Kobe, Derick Fisher, Rick Fox, and Robert Horry would destroy any bulls team of the 1990's. Witness greatness while its here, dont just surf youtube for it!
@TheJackal325 look at this poor kid, he has no clue what he's saying. I don't even want to argue over your weak and powerless nonsense, and you understand you know shit about NBA.
My math isn't biased, your mind is probably biased.
@seraphlgabri you dont have any cited sources to verify your math cause it's coming from you and therefore not reliable. And why are you still stuck in the 90's? Do you also watch 'saved by the bell' and listen to the 'cranberries'? Face it...greatness is always progressive, not degressive. It's 2011! Move over MJ, Kobe and Lebron are Here!!!!!
@TheJackal325 Youtube doesn't allow me to type triple w address and I do have cited sources to verify my math you dumb blind, if you're not retarded or a troll you'll agree with me:
1. MJ's commercial called "Failure"
2. ChicagoBulls' website about MJ.
3. 82games'com (youtube forbids typing dot com)
Don't give me that stuck in the past shit Kobe dick rider, I'm much younger than you if you're really 31, I just realize some facts that you wouldn't accept b/c it hurts your tender feelings.
@seraphlgabri Man I own you.....you pathetic waste. Stupid enough to fall for my arguments, and get all bent and shaken up enough to search and read my profile. But hey, you'd be a make a good customer. In fact, I have some beach-front property in Omaha Nebraska I'd like to sell you....dumb fuckoid....
@TheJackal325 I have solid data to back me up and everybody can do those reasonable inferences, you got nothing but your delusional bullshit like Kobe outperformed Jordan in every categories, what are you kindergarten kid?
@seraphlgabri Kobe is as clutch as Michael Jordan in the sense that both can easily take over down the stretch in order for their team to win. But as far as last second shots, I agree with you that Jordan is better. I mean, just the pressure of the situations A LOT of his game winners came in. Kobe hasn't done it.
I was just a kid when Jordan was in his prime, but I remember seeing him as something damn near supernatural. Kobe and Lebron are both incredible without a doubt and it is a pleasure to watch them do their thing. But they don't reach the legendary level that this guy was at.
@jk61490 As a Cleveland sports fan, i will say this. I would rather watch this over and over again compared to watching LeBron announcing his decision to go to Miami, any day of the week.
I'll tell you, the Bulls became a powerhouse when Collins was replaced by Jackson, but Phil never reacted to a Jordan shot like Collins did. Absolute joy.
as painful as this is to watch, i repsect the hell out of michael jordan. class act, loyal player, best player to ever play in the NBA. There will never be another michael jordan, hopefully if there is one hell play for my cavs lol
Let me say something first. I love Kobe, I think he's a better player than MJ and that shot is by far the most clutch shot i've ever seen given the circumstances. Game 5 on the road down by 1 with 3 seconds left and he has to hang in the air and double pump at the free throw line? Ridiculous shot.
@lakerlover48 the accomplishments don't really bear that out that kobe is better than mj but i will say this, if kobe wins 7 championships with the lakers and if he 4 peats (something jordan never did) than, as a person who grew up watchin jordan, i will then have to agree with you that kobe is better than jordan.
@vwnclubb Unfortunately, piling up on rings with really good TEAMS no longer has any point after a certain time. Might as well argue why you think sam jones and robert horry are better than MJ or kobe. Only fanboys use rings as the ONLY measure of whoes greater. 7 rings, so what? how about the defensive POY award? or the 7 straight triple double. not to mention, what if MJ played for the lakers? i GUARANTEE he would have 10 rings. its the lakers for goodness sake.
@dmun5587red123 no, mj won multiple mvps, defensive player of the year, scoring titles, finals mvps to go along with his rings. kobe has not come close to that and those other players like horry and sam jones you mentioned should not even come into the discussion. so i am saying in order for kobe to make up for all the lack of accomplishments mj had, he would have to 4 peat or win 7 rings in my mind in order to be considered im the same breath.
Literally Michael JOrdan hit the crucial shot almost every single time that it was required under intense pressure and in the playoffs, that is what sets him so far apart from many other players the fact that he went from air jordan extreme offense & defense in the 80s to a true all round player in the 90s that brought the team together.
Sucks that now Michael would get a technical for doing such an iconic celebration. Why do commisioners of the NBA and NFL want to take out some of the most fun parts of the game?
They're not going to give him a technical when the game is already over and he hit a game winning shot to win a series dumbass. You're still allowed to celebrate after you win a game or series.
Thank you to the cameraman who caught MJ jumping up and pumping his fist while Ehlo falls to the ground as if he literally got knocked out. Iconic sports image. Ehlo was good too, bless his heart for even showing up against THE GOAT.
@waterjordan2 "The guy next to Doug Collins is then-assistant coach Phil Jackson." You know, the guy with the brown suit, blue shirt, yellow necktie, mustache, holding the orange book?
Try reading carefully next time before making stupid statements like that.

I was just a kid when Jordan was in his prime, but I remember seeing him as something damn near supernatural. Kobe and Lebron are both incredible without a doubt and it is a pleasure to watch them do their thing. But they don't reach the legendary level that this guy was at.

it just doesn't end for Cleveland
jk61490 10 months ago
@jk61490 As a Cleveland sports fan, i will say this. I would rather watch this over and over again compared to watching LeBron announcing his decision to go to Miami, any day of the week.

I love how there's a cheerleader about to celebrate, then when the shot goes in she just drops to her knees.

This was when the curse started... Fuck i feel shame for cleveland look at the cavaliers now 26 straigh losses...
aggames 11 months ago
I'll tell you, the Bulls became a powerhouse when Collins was replaced by Jackson, but Phil never reacted to a Jordan shot like Collins did. Absolute joy.

as painful as this is to watch, i repsect the hell out of michael jordan. class act, loyal player, best player to ever play in the NBA. There will never be another michael jordan, hopefully if there is one hell play for my cavs lol
MRCAVALIER34 1 year ago
Let me say something first. I love Kobe, I think he's a better player than MJ and that shot is by far the most clutch shot i've ever seen given the circumstances. Game 5 on the road down by 1 with 3 seconds left and he has to hang in the air and double pump at the free throw line? Ridiculous shot.
lakerlover48 1 year ago
@lakerlover48 the accomplishments don't really bear that out that kobe is better than mj but i will say this, if kobe wins 7 championships with the lakers and if he 4 peats (something jordan never did) than, as a person who grew up watchin jordan, i will then have to agree with you that kobe is better than jordan.
vwnclubb 11 months ago
@vwnclubb Unfortunately, piling up on rings with really good TEAMS no longer has any point after a certain time. Might as well argue why you think sam jones and robert horry are better than MJ or kobe. Only fanboys use rings as the ONLY measure of whoes greater. 7 rings, so what? how about the defensive POY award? or the 7 straight triple double. not to mention, what if MJ played for the lakers? i GUARANTEE he would have 10 rings. its the lakers for goodness sake.
dmun5587red123 10 months ago

Unbelievable.

Sucks that now Michael would get a technical for doing such an iconic celebration. Why do commisioners of the NBA and NFL want to take out some of the most fun parts of the game?
URB4NR3CON 1 year ago
@URB4NR3CON
They're not going to give him a technical when the game is already over and he hit a game winning shot to win a series dumbass. You're still allowed to celebrate after you win a game or series.
Force2mj 1 year ago
@DrmrGuy1979 - No, that would be the NFL, not the NBA.

Thank you to the cameraman who caught MJ jumping up and pumping his fist while Ehlo falls to the ground as if he literally got knocked out. Iconic sports image. Ehlo was good too, bless his heart for even showing up against THE GOAT.
