  • are your truck tight???

  • @dogturd4 nope. khiro double-barrels (blue/blue).

  • Thats just impressive.. Nice work.

  • @SkateShredSurvive thanks. stoked.

  • What wheels

  • @TheShapie95 Seismic Speed Vents

  • how fast do u get on the dervish until u hit speed wobbles????

  • @golevins I got wobbles at the bottom of this hill when I stood up. No death wobbles, though. Haven't had a death wobble in 20 years (you outgrow them).

  • a few days ago my friend was letting us skitch his car an we were going about 41 at top speed, i know 36 may sound small to alot of people, but its scary/fun as shit

  • @derFnosduH skitching is scary, period.

  • damn i only do 25 mph

  • @MrCheesypuf 25 is fast!

  • @leewardstyle not according to youtube

  • I'm 20 minutes down the road in Richmond KY, message me and we need to have a sesh.

  • @TheAtomicLad1996 cool, are there nice spots in Richmond?

  • @leewardstyle There's a couple nice roads in some of the subdivisions, we got one that's pretty steep and then has a big turn and and another drop. That's about it though. It's good enough haha.

  • haha the first video on the right is how to fix noisy trucks haha

  • @BANZAI2016 lol right?

  • That's so not 30 mph

  • nice shoe cam

  • hmmm... next video is about how to fix squeaky trucks, maybe you should watch it...

  • Why on earth would anyone attempt downhill on a tractionless waffle of a board like the Dervish?

  • nice shoes Love longboards!!!!!!!!!

  • I like how you fly by the Police car at 30+ MPH. Awesome!!

  • Wow nice man that looks so fun

  • where at in lexington. cause i live off clays mill and i havnt found a place to ride mine except in my neighborhood

  • @jacobtylerhi St. Margaret, off Richmond Rd. and New Circle.

  • Ha! LOL i got the same shoes!!!

  • looks like ur going like 40

  • Good video but the dervish is too small even for you.

I bought one too but it is just not wide enough for my feet..

  • Uh that doesn't rele look like 36 mph how did you determine that you were going that fast

  • Looks like an awesome place to skate, down then up

  • SPEEDWOBBLE!!!

  • trucks?

  • wat's ur weight n wat flex?

  • i get the same wobbles when i stand up at around 30. but i tightened my truck tonight so we will see what tomorrow brings.

  • Judging my that cop car you live in johnson? Thats really close to where i live man XD... Watch out for those speed woobles man.. o.o

  • Hey how did you mount the camera on your longboard? Can u make a video showing how? PLZ ANSWER. thanks.

  • @Raph201 goprocamera [dot] com

  • @leewardstyle but which mount is it. they have lots of options

  • @leewardstyle

thats not a gopro noob gopro is HD

  • @leewardstyle i think he meant actually how to mount it

  • get a bar of soap and shave some off with a razor and put it in where the truck fits and it will stop the squeaking

  • @bdon9999 thx for the tip.

  • skweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekk jk

  • hey your speeding in a school zone

  • thanks or accepting my video man! and thats a sick shot to take

  • not impresed...

  • @RootsRadish lol.

  • @leewardstyle I will say however that mounting a cam to your board is pretty cool... you got those slide gloves? you should get into that, that shit is cool.

  • Comment removed

  • @leewardstyle r ur trucks tight or loose?

  • Flex 1 or 2?

  • @omjskills most squeaks are caused by bushings... or pivot cup. put some soap around the sqeaky parts.

if it sqeaks it's always the cheap exchangable parts...

  • Pretty sick man, good angle :D

  • 80k views.... I know this guy! ha

  • @dustyroads13 woodland 4 life.

  • lies thats not down hill

  • @HOMExSKILLET it is pinata.

  • @HOMExSKILLET The camera is turned the same degrees than the road, since the skateboard is flat. It seems from the camera's point of view that it's not downhill. But it is.

  • i hit 50 on a loaded dervish....check my channel to visualize

  • @LTBRAD06 ill for real.

  • you should put some soap in those squeaky pivot cups :)

  • squeaqy sqeak

  • did someone see the police car ??

  • i know this is a old video, but you should put ur back knee and try and put it behind ur front knee and it will be more comfortable and aero

  • @MrJakeFTW good advice. thanks!

  • put the cam in the front next time

  • is that a go pro mount thats taking the video? bc theyre usually in HD haha

  • tan tien alll the waayy

  • Flex?

  • that hill was weak...

  • @113576 Inorite?

  • @113576 shut up

  • Agreed, I've done 45 on my dervish with 150s. All about the slackline.

  • @dhwithspeezy slacklining is awesome ! ! ! !

  • What kind of shoes are those? Pretty nice.

  • can someone explain to me why flexy boards like the dervish are not good for downhill?

  • @punkiassjunki wobbles mainly come from soft bushings and lose truck, soft flex makes slides and fast cornering terrible. But when your experienced at high speed you can ride pretty fast with a flex board too, but its a lot harder.

I DH my flex 3 vanguard witch is alot softer than the dervish, i have a Comet FSM on the way but meanwhile i bomb with my vanguard,, just switch to double-barrel bushings.

I reached about 40 (60+kph) last session, had a car a couple of meters infront checking speed.

  • @punkiassjunki Flexy boards well.... flex and it makes them less stable and more likely to get wobbles.

  • Not trying to insult you but going 36mph on a dervish is not exactly very smart due to the extreme flex of the dervish and you would usually get speed wobbles and fall

  • @TennisXCountry none taken.

  • @TennisXCountry not really bro. Anyone with a solid tuck and enough time spent at higher speeds can manage a flexy board at 30-45. Plus he could've tightened his trucks for the run for safety and worn a helmet and pads. Furthermore! I think flexy boards are nicer at high speeds cuz the flex still reduces bumps and such. I dunno that's just my three cents...and yah it's three cuz my cents always make more sense than other people's.

  • @dontmugurself i can almost gurantee you that not a single person will tell you that downhill longboarding with flexy boards is not very smart even with all the best gear, tightened trucks, etc. sure its do-able but it is not recommended andprobably not safe

  • @TennisXCountry I realize that I'm basically just saying if I had 1 skateboard for the rest of my life but it would never wear down on me...and it just so happened that it was a Loaded Dervish...and I was the only person left on the planet...I would definitely loot some gear and bomb the fuck out of many hills at about 40 with no worries because I know myself and my skill and honestly I'm not event he greatest longboard, and that's why I say anyone with a decent tuck and stable stance can do it.

  • @dontmugurself flex doesn't reduce bumps at high speeds, it makes it way worse and can throw you off your board

  • @ramsay2113 regardless... I roll flex 2 TT, have a good tuck, and most bumps are absorbed for me, between the flex of my board, my thin pads and my wheel/truck setup, honestly the only way I see myself falling off between 35-45 is from speed wobbles, which I dont get cuz I dont suck. Tan tien is a bit more stable than a dervish but if someone just tossed me a flex 2 derv and said hit this massive hill I would be totally confident in the board's and my own ability to keep myself alive.

  • @ramsay2113 you just sounds overly sketched out about it, as if you've never tried it but you have a defiant opinion about it....not trying to insult you but 36 really isnt that fast on a flex board.

  • @TennisXCountry not trying to insult you but I own a loaded dervish flex 1 long board and going 36 mph is not very smart but you would have to be a huge pussy to say it. notice also that you tell this young man that he would usually get wobbles, come on. Just because you lack a certain skill does not mean the rest of the youtube community lacks those skills. ok mom

  • @bakedinspiration ok... u could also so you would have to be a huge pussy to wear a helmet...

  • @TennisXCountry say*

  • @TennisXCountry u could also so you would does not make a whole lot of sense mom. and yes helmets are for pussy's I won one but only wear it when im snowboarding and going to backs. never would I wear a full face or bb for this type of stuff come on mom

  • @TennisXCountry not true. you can honestly bomb on any board if youre good enough. My friend bombs on a Van Guard and we go 35 all the time and he has really loose trucks and a really flexible flex.

  • @TennisXCountry i've hit a little over 40 on my dervish : D

  • @TennisXCountry yea if you suck ass

  • @TennisXCountry

no problem.. I`ve done 50 mph on a dervish flex 2.. Smooth as silk as long as you keep your weight far enough over the front truck. The Dervish is a beatuiful flexy city cruiser, but also versatile enough to pull off stuff like that. Truly a great board.

  • Comment removed

  • not to brag but thats nothing i got 70mph on skis and im 13

  • @JordyL172 the point isn't how fast he's going. It's what he is doing it on. Longboarding at 35mph is very quick and the chance of getting speed wobble is always increased depending on how fast you go, especially on a dervish because although it can handle downhill speeds. It isn't built for them :)

  • @JordyL172 lol. funny joke.

  • @Jobryan205 naa serious il put up a pic of the reading on my account 1 day and the vid i hav of its hard to tell wheather er did or not but we did get it! hard to believe ino tho

  • lol squeaky pivot cups

  • @bossmanboss15 da squeakiest!

  • @leewardstyle Spray WD40! in pivots and joints it makes for a smoother ride and NO sqeek

  • @leewardstyle draw on it with a graphite pencil, lots and lots. helps.

  • @leewardstyle u shud hear my sidewinder's.. squeaky as hell

  • Sounded like a hot rod when it slowed down

  • @rickyc777 word.

  • Check this out, BIGFLIP (like a 360 flip) with a Loaded Tan Tien!! Just check my channel :)

  • @leewardstyle Thanks!

  • @OrionLong that's just a warning. Loaded doesn't want kids to wipe out. but yes, the Khiros = less wobbles.

  • is that flex 1 or 2?

  • your trucks are tighten or soften for downhill ?

  • @xjord187x loose trucks; 1-thread showing. Khiro Double Barrel Bushings (Blue; medium) for downhill stability.

  • whats best the dervish the lush off season or the tan tien ?????

  • @tj4901 I rode a TanTien and it's great for tricks. But you can't mount a camera on the upturned nose/tail.

  • is the dervish good im maybe going to get 1

  • Nice shoes!!

  • THIS IS SO LAME CHECK OUT LONGBOARDING OGDENDUNES INDIANA

  • i get bad speed wobbles on dervishes but i still love them

  • haha I use a gps to track speed too

  • Does this get speed wobble

Because I think I am getting it for my b-day and it seems rely nice is it?

  • @eliasjose99 yes, even randals can wobble. you just need to speed-tuck and carve if you wobble.

  • @eliasjose99 If you want to go decent speeds dont get a dervish, theres a lot better boards out there.

  • What's the flex of your dervish?

  • @LbDrei the 200lb flex. I forget the number and I've since griptaped over it.

  • Awesome except u were pretty close to face planting, when u turned around the board started to lift, so slowly, it's impossible to comprehend (:D

  • @lonewolf2556 haha, you noticed that too?

  • Meh. Your vid is alright. With my sector 9 I got clocked in by a cop hitting 39 mph. Got a warning for it tho.

  • @SHORTBUS39 39-40 is fast!

  • how do you track the speed with the garmin?

  • @kamikazeestu it registers "peak" landspeed in mph/kph, just scroll to the landspeed function. It's not real-time, so if you look down and see "28mph" that's the fastest you hit, not the speed you are going when you looked. I typically reset to 0mph and then bomb a hill, only checking it at the end of the run.

  • do you get speed wobbles on this thing

  • @lechodemeista yes. standing up during the roll-out, I got visible wobbles but corrected them before it was too late. I put the slightest amount of weight on the back heel when I get wobbles.

  • @leewardstyle

    you just suck at riding

  • @BIGTIMAH808 you are right.

  • i like your Vox :)

  • u shouldnt put ur wheels in wet grass

  • man what bearings u got in this and are you on a hill?

  • @theothermetalica Oust Abec 9, cleaned and creamed with RocknRons Rocket Propellant. This is a hill, but you cant tell from the onBoard mount.

  • you best be sure to watch out for cops...i got pulled over for going about 30-35 ish in a 25 zone....and YES that is the reason, not for passing through the numerous stopsigns

  • @SSXSuperMan I've gotten tickets for running stop signs and speeding. go to court EARLY, like 2 hours early, plead "Not Guilty." Two things will happen: you'll be dismissed by the pre-trial attorney (no charge) -or- you'll be asked to come back during your scheduled court-time. Come back, ride the "Not Guilty" plea until the cop shows. He won't show. They never show. Paying the fine is an admission of guilt.

  • @leewardstyle well...i havent been arrested. just given multiple warnings. then they lecture me on how its so unsafe. this kid in my hometown even died whiled skitching a car, so everyone around gets very uneasy when it comes to longboarding. i get out of these fines and going to court n stuff cuz i dont do stupid crap like that. even if i dont get in trouble i get crap from the nieghbors

  • legit.

  • nice shoes.

  • Hey man i just ordered my dervish today. I live in lexington. Where is this hill?

  • sick man, buuut I have a flex 2 dervish and I've gone 39 mph soooooo you should probably be able to go faster if yours is flex 1, aand if its flex 2 you should still be able to go a little faster haha

  • @MrToadStomper how much do you weight?

  • @MUJAHID56787 That was my brother who commented and he weighs like 160ish

  • lol. cop on the left 51 sec! thumbs up!!!

  • Awesome however I suggest you also take shots from a different angles sometimes.

    Thumps up!

  • @matsirnb I'm trying. We have such a small scene here. Filmers are hard to come by. thank for the suggestion.

  • sweet video

  • yo bro here is a suggestion for go pro usage on the back of your board: angle it up just a little bit towards you so you get more of the scenery and yourself mate, try it :)

  • @Johmeyful I'll try it, thanks!

  • when i take 35 mph with my dervish i have a speed wobble, look at my channel

  • This is a top speed of 36, meaning he was going 25 for most of it and peaked up to 36 for half a second.

  • @bradleyrxz it could even be 34mph peak with GPS lag.

  • @leewardstyle He was probably going faster, GPS dosent take hill grade into effect

  • @leewardstyle I know this may sound dumb but I love my trucks...Will tracker dart 219mm longboard trucks fit a dervish? Please reply I need to know I'm buying one on the 15th

  • I have a downhill board, the landyachts drop speed. I'm just saying that thirty five is nothing I've been clocked at fifty and even that wasn't that fast. the record land-speed is ninety five. on a long board. Albeit it was behind a truck but still.

  • @Flit31 unassisted downhill record is 67mph.

  • @leewardstyle

Used to be 67. It is now 80.83

    check it.

  • @markistight link? I see no unassisted 80mph record.

  • @leewardstyle search mischo erban 80.83mph

  • @leewardstyle

Just search for mischo erban and it will be the first video that pops up

  • @leewardstyle 85mph

  • @leewardstyle unassisted downhill record is 80.8 by Mischo Erban
