more like 15,000 years old the sphynx as they can tell by the water levels and erosian i love the wonderof karnak and hatshepsets temple all beautiful
You will see things like the the mummy of Thutmose the 1st with coarse wooly hair in a 1930s published book by Sir W M Flinders Petrie (renowned Egyptologist of the day) . He's now bald. Or the coal black (always in art) grandmother of renowned Queen Hatshepsut.
@joayreya i just wanna say that ur house(country) it's so beautiful i love it i wish one of those days i have the opportunity to go there im from mexico and we have pretty good places, pyramids and stuff but they' are not that old as the buildings over u country

@PDAYkivers All Western civilization comes from Egypt. Heck, the obsession with Egypt even spurred the Romans to steal Obelisks and transport them from Egypt to Rome.... they are still standing today. Everyone copied Egyptian religions, architecture, etc..., including the Romans, and we (rest of Europe, America) copied the Romans.
@EgyptianGoddess1111 SHOCK TO YOUR SYSTEM TO WHAT BLACK PEOPLE HAD BUILT AND THE GREATNESS THAT WAS ONCE BLACK POWER..IT NEVER WENT AWAY JUST ASLEEP FOR THE LAST 1500 YEARS
such a timeless feel must surround you walking through these ancient temples, one of my life goals is to see the pyramids at giza.ahh tostand in front of the sphinx and think of all the eyes that have seen it over the millenia!
@lowgeemudbone I like to think of it this way... the United States has existed for about 200-300 years as a country or colonies. The Egyptian civilization existed for about 5 thousand years. An interesting story.... the civilization lasted so long, that one of the Pharoahs accidentally re-discovered a lost monument buried in the sands....it had been built 1 thousand years before his time by his own people.
The world wondered at Egypt for a long time. We are nothing.
@bio2020 the usa was born as a country 250 yrs ago and the new world was discovered 500 yrs ago so yea the buildings in egypt are older than the country and the continent u live in

True marels and over 5,000 years ago. I trace the beginnings of Western Civilization to Egyptians,
See Zhigarats in Mesopotamia, Iraq. Inspired by pyramids?
